7 Grant Activity Grant Activity - Camp Foley/Trail Properties Inc Camp Foley/Trail Properties Inc. This site is a steep slope of sand that has seen heavy ice push. Plan to restore the shoreline with native grass, flowers, and shrubs. Also to seed a logged off area with native pollinator species and deep rooted plants. STREAMBANK OR SHORELINE PROTECTION Start Date 22-May-15 End Date 10-Nov-16 Foley Staff and contracted individuals cut and staked in willow bundles and planted willow stakes. In addition, we assisted with the planting of native grasses, flowers, shrubs and trees in eroded areas with Sunshine Gardens, and worked with the replacing rock on the bank from the ice heaving along 1000 feet of shoreline of Whitefish Lake. In the forest surrounding, assisted contractor with the prepping of the landing site from logging and the planting of seed. In the upcoming summers, it will be maintaining the area, fixing up the shoreline if ice heaving happens, watering if a dry summer, fixing the planting areas as necessary, and deer protection.
