1 Hurricane Michael Operations Report 4:00 PM October 10, 2018 SCDOT Operations Mode: Preparation Statewide Summary SCDOT is prepared and ready to respond to the potential effects of Hurricane Michael. Currently, all 46 counties are operating with 24-hour coverage. SCDOT Maintenance Crews are prepared for storm response operations. As of 4:00PM today, all movable bridges have been closed to marine traffic. A report of the recent storm related closures is attached below. Fifty-eight total closures remain in the areas affected by Hurricane Florence. SCDOT continues recovery operations in these impacted areas. SCDOT continues daily communication and coordination with other emergency service providers. The SCDOT Call Center is operating with 24-hour coverage. Live agents remain on standby for assistance at GO-SCDOT ( ). In areas affected by flooding and downed trees, motorists are urged to obey all road closures. Never move or drive around barricades. Remember: It is NEVER safe to drive or walk into flood waters.
