1 Teacher Notes: : You could use these clocks in a number of ways. The first two sets are to practice telling time to the nearest 5 minute mark. The third and fourth set are to practice elapsed time. Whole Class Activity #1: * cut out analogue clocks ( set 1 or 2) and place around the classroom * give students recording sheet 1 and have them walk around the class finding clocks and recording the times Whole Class Activity #2: * cut out analogue and digital clocks ( set 1 or set 2) and place around the classroom * give students recording sheet 2 and have them walk around the classroom finding the analogue clocks and ` recording the times and then finding the matching digital clock and record the letter ( set 1 spells snowball set 2 spells sledding) Small group/partners: * cut out analogue and digital clocks ( set 1 and/or set 2) * students can use as a memory game students can each have a set one calls the time they have the other finds the match * use as flash cards Elapsed Time Whole Class Activity * cut out clocks ( set 1 or set 2) and place around the classroom * give students recording sheets and a clock manipulative to use to find elapsed time * students figure out the time then find the matching analogue clock in the classroom and record the # * use the worksheet and post clocks in one locations or not at all
