2 The Pederson Family Welcome to our 36Th Annual Production Sale. We are excited about the Red Angus breed -now more than ever. Red Angus cattle are topping markets all across the country and as the nation rebuilds its cow numbers it seems Red Angus will be a strong influence for the future. The domestic and international consumer continues to want to eat high quality beef! This demand shows us that we have good times ahead for commercial cattle producers across the country. For over 50 years our ranch has prided ourselves in breeding females that are feminine, highly maternal, with outstanding feet, legs, and udders, and a nice quiet disposition. They are deep sided, soft made cattle with plenty of length, muscle and bone. For us, these females offer a lot of longevity and the ability to raise market topping steer calves who are effi cient, highgaining cattle in the feedyard and hang high quality grading carcasses in the packing plant. They also produce no fuss, low maintenance, efficient replacement females. The calves were weaned in October. We will carcass ultrasound the bulls in late February and a supplement sheet will be available on our website ( and sale day that will include carcass data, scrotal circumferences, and updated EPDs. As well, we will be adding videos and color photos of the cattle to the website. After the first eight bulls, the cattle are listed in birth order in the catalog. A sale order will be available sale day. The heifers have come out of the heart of our replacement pen. The bred heifers were ultrasounded by Dr. Pat Bierman, Mandan Veterinary Clinic last fall and their due dates are noted in the footnotes of the sale catalog. All the heifers were pasture bred to three bulls that are all Helen and Ralph Beckton Nebula P707 sons and we will provide a DNA kit that you can mail back to us and we will submit to the RAAA for sire identification. We will be selling the open commercial heifers fi rst, then the bulls, and end the sale with our registered heifers. Chad, Lisa and Bricelyn We d like to thank our hired man, Tim Johnson for his help through the past year. Tim is a valuable asset to our ranch team, and we don t know how we could get everything done without him. Our great grandson/grandson/nephew, Logan Pederson once again was here this past summer. Logan was a huge amount of help, and we appreciate his assistance. Our thoughts and prayers are with those who have lost loved ones this past year, are battling serious illness, and our friends, neighbors and customers who endured tremendous losses during the early October Blizzard Atlas. If you have any questions, or if there is any way we can assist you, please don t hesitate to contact us. The cattle can be viewed at the ranch anytime. Stop in and have a cup of coffee with us; we d love to have you. Check our website, for videos, color photos, and further information. Gary and Sue We look forward to seeing you on March 5th.
