14 Scope of the Global Strategy for Plant Conservation(GSPC) Understanding and documenting plant diversity Conserving plant diversity Using plant diversity sustainably Promoting education and awareness about plant diversity Capacity building to address plant diversity Target 2, an assessment of the conservation status of all known plant species, to guide conservation action.

15 Recommendation 1: Gap Analysis The threatened spp can be used to conduct the conservation gap analysis of threatened species to ensure that they have been actively conserved both in situ and ex situ. Red List of China plants can be used to identify: 1)the geographic priority areas for biodiversity conservation; 2)Target species for conservation in botanical gardens and in seed banks.

16 Recommendation 2:Establish a Updating & Monitoring System To record and monitor the threatened species. The current assessment text can be the basis of the system, and to which botanists and amateurs can send their information, to include in updates. online This will ensure that the plant Red List from now on remains up to date, and accurately reflects the current status. 17 Recommendation 3:Strengthen Field Inventory and Taxonomic Researches This assessment has identified the taxa most in need of detailed inventory along with experts to develop new research projects and integrate these data to fully assess the threatened status of DD species: DD-P(Data Deficient Insufficient Population Data) :3612 SPP.
