Af t er opere! the by-pass of the h y d r a u l i c motor the hose i s dri v en through the guide u n t i l the nozzl e i s h a l f a metre i n t o the d r a i n Now the su c t i o n pi pe i s immersed i n the water suppl y, the p. t. o. - s h a f t i s connected and the pressure of the pump i s adj u st ed at about 30 E:H, Handle n r, 14 can now be put i n such a p o s i t i o n t h a t s u f f i c i e n t n r f e e on the rubber wheels i s obt ai ned and the handle can be f i x e d i n thal p o s i t i o n. The v e l o c i t y of the hose can be adj u st ed at about 15 m per minute wi t h the v alv e i n the by-pass of the h y d r a u l i c motor.

Never l e t the rubber wheels s l i p on the hose as the f r i c t i o n w i l l cause heat and the heat w i l l melt the hose. W ith handle n r. 14 i t i s po ssi b l e t o l e t the nozzle go t o and f r o at the clogged spot u n t i l the water has cleaned the spo t. Do not t r y t o f orce the nozzle i n but l e t the water do the j ob. As soon as the nozzle has reached the end of the dr a i n handle n r. 14 i s put i n the oppo si t e p o s i t i o n and the hose i s p u l l e d out sl o wl y. I t i s very i m portant t o p u l l the hose out sl owl y s t i l l pumping water through i t, as a l o t of s i l t, red ochre e t c. i s f l ushed out t h i s way. T r a n sp o r t at i o n P u l l the hose i n u n t i l the nozzle reaches the end of the hose gui de. L i f t the hose guide somewhat wi t h the winch. Remove the su c t i o n hose from the wat er-suppl y and dr i v e t o the next d r a i n. T r a n sp o r t a t i n : the next f i e l d P u l l the hose i n e n t i l the nozzl e i s out of the hose gui de. L i f t the hose guide up wi t h the winch to maximum h e i g h t. Ttirn the bent p a r t of the guide 180 around the s t r a i g h t p a r t. Press the.,! ) l e guide t o the machine and secure p i n n r. 13. E. MAINTENA CE Remove the hose connect i on t o the c e n t r a l water pi pe of the r e e l once i n ± 100 hours, check rubber r i n g and cover the pi pe wi t h grease. O i l t u r n i n g p o i n t s of handle 14, sp i nd l e 9 and hose gui de. The b a l l bear i ngs of t h i s machine need no maintenance. F. STORAGE Bef ore s t o r i n g the machine cl ean i t t h or ou gh l y, p a i n t damaged spo t s, grease or o i l a l l unpai nted p a r t s and d r a i n the water from the pump (see separate pump manual). Store the machine p r e f e r a b l y i n a dry shed.
