5 GM-E Enclosed eutral-grounding-esistor Monitor Page ev GEEA The GM-E Enclosed eutral-grounding- esistor (G) Monitor series is a Type X enclosure housing a ittelfuse Startco SE- or SE-0 eutral- Grounding-esistor Monitor and optional accessories that include a 0/00-V control power transformer (PT), faulted-phase indication (FPI; implemented with an E00 Ground-Fault & Phase-Voltage Indicator), earthleakage panel meter, pulse-enable control, and mounting options. Appropriate fusing is included and field wiring is to terminal blocks. This manual supplements the relevant G-monitor and E00 manuals.. SE- MODES GM-E models with an SE- G Monitor include a surface-mounted G monitor, panel-mounted indication and reset and have a Type X rating. Options include a PT and FPI. See Figs. and.. SE-0 MODES GM-E models with an SE-0 G Monitor include a panel- or surface-mounted G monitor which can be optionally equipped with a network-communications interface. Panel-mounted models include an SE-IPV-G Hinged Transparent over and have an IP rating. Surface-mounted models include panelmounted indication and reset, US connector, and have a Type X rating. oth mounting styles can optionally be equipped with a PT, FPI, earth-leakage panel meter, and pulse-enable switch. See Figs. and 0.. IDIATIO, METEIG, AD ESET Surface-mount models include red panel-mounted Ground Fault and esistor Fault ED s that indicate the G-monitor trip state, and a green ontrol Power ED. eset latched trips by pressing the eset button when the trip condition is no longer present. G-monitor frontpanel indication and reset is accessible when the door panel is open. Panel-mounted SE-0 face-plate indication is visible through the hinged transparent cover. Open the hinged transparent cover to access the SE-0 eset button. Models equipped with earth-leakage metering continuously display earth-leakage current as a percentage of the ground-fault-t-primary rating when the SE-0 is energized. All SE-0 models have a US interface through which G-resistance-change, neutral-voltage and current metering is accessible with a P running SE-MO0 software that is available at ittelfuse.com. This data is also accessible through the optional networkcommunications interface.. OFIGUATIO AD SETTIGS Factory configuration is per the SE- or SE-0 manual, except that SE-0 models equipped with a pulseenable switch have configuration switch S set to K=Pulse. Adjust settings as required refer to the appropriate manuals.. OPEATIO efer to the SE-, SE-0, and E00 manuals included with the GM-E or at relayscontrols, as required. OTE: For models equipped with an SE-0 G Monitor and an optional pulse-enable switch, select Pulse Enable to cause the SE-0 K contact to cycle at a rate determined by the SE-0 front-panel Pulse Period switch. Ensure that SE-0 configuration switch S is set to K=Pulse. AUTIO: For models equipped with a PT and/or FPI, the maximum supply voltage is 00 Vac.

For wall mounting, attach the included mounting brackets to the back of the enclosure with the enclosed fasteners, and prepare the mounting surface using the dimensions as shown in Fig.. All models ship with no predrilled cable entry. An appropriate hole or holes must be made in the enclosure for the installation of all conductors. Space is allowed at the bottom for cable entry. See Figs.,, and 0. Use appropriate cable-entry fittings.. OETIOS TO THE EUTA-GOUDIG- ESISTO AD UET TASFOME For all models, connect GM-E terminal to an E-series sensing resistor () terminal. Follow SE- or SE-0 manual guidelines for wire size selection. See Figs. and. All models connect to a current transformer (), which measures G current. The sensing resistor and T are typically located in the G enclosure... SE- MODES onnect the T00 current transformer () secondary to GM-E terminals T and T. onnections are not polarity sensitive. Follow SE- manual guidelines for wire size selection. See Fig.... SE-0 MODES For sensitive EFT- or SE-S0-series current sensors (), connect to GM-E terminals S and. For -A-secondary T s connect to terminals and. A field-wiring change is required for -A-secondary T connections. See Fig.. T connections are not polarity sensitive. OTO POWE TASFOME (PT) MODES Models equipped with a PT are compatible with 0- and 00-V systems, and are factory-connected for a 00-V system. Field adjustment for a 0-V system is required by moving the TH connection on T to the H terminal of T. onnect GM-E terminals ØA and Ø to the 0- or 00-V bus using to AWG (.0 to. mm ) wire. See Figs. and.. -VOTAGE IDIATIO For models equipped with phase-voltage and faultedphase indication, connect GM-E terminals ØA, Ø, and Ø to the 0- or 00-V bus using to AWG (.0 to. mm ). See Figs. and. These terminals are shared by the PT connections for models so equipped.. EAY-OUTPUT OETIOS For external alarm or trip indication and protection, connect to SE- A- relay output or SE-0 K relay output by connecting to GM-E terminals and. A field-wiring change is required if a supply-voltage connection is required to the relay output(s) within the GM-E. Field wiring is required if connection to SE-0 relay outputs K, K, and K is required. See Figs. and and the appropriate product manual. OTE: The SE-0 surface-mount options use relays K and K for panel-mounted ground-fault and resistor-fault indication respectively.. ETWOK-OMMUIATIOS OETIOS For SE-0 models equipped with a communications option, connect directly to the SE-0 network interface, referring to the appropriate product manual.. DIEETI-STEGTH TESTIG emove the connections at the SE- and SE-0 and terminals, and remove the connection to the E00 terminal 9 (if installed), before performing dielectric-strength testing.
