1 Electronic constant pressure regulator FUNCTION KZP is an electronic pressure regulator unit with LONTALK communication and is included in the e.r.i.c. system. KZP features digitally adjustable set points. KZP is also used as a regulator on mixing boxes in the erimix System. Pressure class A and damper (circular variants) in air tightness class 4 for shutting off. 2 DESIGN KZP is available as standard in a circular design for sizes 1-0. A rectangular model is built onto a flap damper and can be provided on most markets in sizes up to 00x10. The circular variant is also available in an insulated design to fit silencer CLA/CLB, see figure 1. Circular sizes have a shut-off damper for air tightness class 4, rectangular in air tightness class 3, enclosure class conforming to IP, and connection of the operator panel KOP. KZP is supplied as standard completely assembled and configured for the requested pressure together with the pressure sensor KSP. KZP is supplied with an temperature sensor when used in an erimix System. MATERIAL AND SURFACE FINISH All sheet metal parts are in galvanized sheet steel. All plastic parts are completely PVC free and are generally made of ABSplastic. ACCESSORIES Silencer CLA / CLB. Operator panel KOP for changing/setting data. INSTALLATION KZP can be installed in any position in climate-conditioned areas. Rectangular KZP must always be installed with the damper axle horizontal. KZP is connected to the duct system using the mounting bracket FSR on ducts that must be cleaned. Electrical connection is carried out as per the wiring diagram KZP. When KZP 0 is to be combined with CLB 0 the spacing between KZP and CLB should be 0 mm. When used in system erimix the temperatur probe must be placed 4 m after KZP. COMMISSIONING KZP is usually set at the factory and no trimming is necessary. Post-programming can be done using the operator panel KOP or via the LON network with the help of LONMAKER for Windows. Figure 3. KZP with connector KOP. MAINTENANCE Dirty products may only be cleaned by wiping or vacuum cleaning. DECLARATIONS The product is CE marked. 3 PLANNING A comprehensive planning guide that describes the overall e.r.i.c. concept is given in the technical section. KZP is intended for pressure controlled branch ducts as set out in the outline drawing in figure 5, "Principle of pressure control". Constant pressure control is suitable for constant and variable air flow to the served room, see further in the technical section. KZP is supplied with preset values, which can be easily changed on site by using the operator panel KOP or via the LON network. There is a Technical Manual (edition 2) that provides detailed information about the operation and programming of the regulator; this can be downloaded from our website. KZP is used as the master and regulator for mixing boxes in the erimix, system, more information is available in the separate erimix product sheet. In larger installations where fans are pressure controlled via speed regulation, the pressure can be optimized using the System Manager KSM. 4 CONNECTION KZP is connected to a 24 V AC supply and is fuse protected with max 6 A. Connection to LONTALK and pressure sensors is done as set out in the wiring diagram KZP. Wire cross-section requirements Supply voltage (24 V AC) with max fuse 6 A requires 1.5 mm 2. Signal wiring from connected units max m requires 0.7 mm 2. 5 Sound power level The diagram for the different sizes shows the total generated sound power (L Wtot db), as a function of the air flow and pressure drop across the damper. By correcting L Wtot with the correction factors from Table 1 the sound power levels are obtained for respective octave bands (L W = L Wtot + K ok ). 9 Air flow capacity The product s air flow capacity is important in planning when air flow measurements are included in the product. The normal working area lies between m/s in the duct. The upper control limit lies at approx. 13 m/s, but then gives significantly increased pressure losses and sound problems. Only a few of these network variables are used for the application handled by KZP. Further information about the use of variables can be found in the Adjustment Instructions for the e.r.i.c. system and in the Technical Manual.
