DAY 3 (2.07) Coach transfer to Zagora by desert road DAY 4 (3.07) Reversing dunes morphology and morphodynamics (the example of Coude du Dra region) Coach transfer to Merzouga DAY 5 (4.07) Morphology and morphodynamics of star dunes in bimodal wind regime (the example of Erg Chebbi) Coach transfer to Marrakech by desert and mountain road DAY 6 (5.07) Transfer to Marrakech Airport fly to European Cities Field trip thematic sessions: 1. Eolianites of Atlantic coast (the example of Sidi Ifni - Aglou Beach) dr hab. Joanna Rotnicka, prof. UAM, Ewelina Niklas, Institute of Geology, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan Texture and structure of eolianites exposed in cliffs of Aglou Beach, Atlantic coast. Eolianites of Atlantic coast (Aglou Beach)
2 2. Barchans morphology and morphodynamics (the example of Tarfaya-Laayoune dune belt) dr hab. Maciej Dluzewski, Faculty of Geography and Regional Studies, University of Warsaw dr hab. Joanna Rotnicka, prof. UAM, Institute of Geology, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan Barchans of Tarfaya-Laayoune dune belt 1. Sand transport on barchan dunes under various wind events based on data from sand traps and wind measurements in different part of the barchans. 2. Barchans shape in different seasons (wind regime) based both on 3D barchan models derived from GPS RTK survey repeated seasonally and hourly 50+ years wind data. 3. Impact of fog and dew induced sand moisture on barchan dune asymmetry based on measurements of moisture content in near surface sand layer, rate of sand drying and wind data from different part of the barchans. 4. Barchans morphodynamic based on seasonal and yearly changes of H.J. Finkel s morphological properties and migration rates. 5. Bulk density diversity of barchans surface sand layer based on field measurements. 6. Barchan total and surface sediment budget based on comparison of 3D models derived from GPS RTK survey repeated seasonally and yearly. 7. Impact of short term wind events on distribution of zones of deposition and erosion within barchan dunes based on short term hourly wind data and 3D barchan models derived from GPS RTK survey.
3 3. Reversing dunes morphology and morphodynamics (the example of Coude du Dra region) dr hab. Maciej Dluzewski, Faculty of Geography and Regional Studies, University of Warsaw dr hab. Joanna Rotnicka, prof. UAM, Institute of Geology, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan Reversing dunes of Coude du Dra region 1. Seasonal changes of shape of reversing dunes based on 3D models derived from GPS RTK survey. 2. Speed up of near surface airflow in relation to dune shape and angle of incident wind based on data from measurements of wind parameters within a dune and vertical wind profile derived from reference mast. 3. Sand transport rate along the dune axis in relation to dunes shape and angle of incident wind based on data from sand traps and wind measurements along the dune axis under various wind events. 4. Separation of airflow and vertical mass flux profile in relation to dunes shape and angle of incident wind based on data from sand traps (with resolution of 1.2 cm) and wind measurements along the dune axis under various wind events.
4 4. Morphology and morphodynamics of star dunes in bimodal wind regime (the example of Erg Chebbi) dr hab. Maciej Dluzewski, dr Katarzyna Biejat, Faculty of Geography and Regional Studies, University of Warsaw Star dunes of Erg Chebbi 1. Star dune shape of simple, complex and compound types of dunes methodological problem of survey and data analysis based on 3D star dune models derived from GPS RTK survey repeated seasonally. 2. Lateral and vertical migration of primary and secondary star dune arms (crest) based on comparison of 3D star dune models derived from GPS RTK survey repeated seasonally and 20+ years wind data. 3. Star dunes total and surface sediment budget based on 3D models comparison derived from GPS RTK survey repeated seasonally and yearly. 4. Zones of deposition and erosion within star dunes in different wind events based on short term wind data and 3D star dune models derived from GPS RTK survey repeated seasonally and yearly. 5. Star dune arms typology versus primary and secondary airflow based on arm shape analysis on 3D star dune models and 20+ years wind data.
