Field Program Experience: Over the years Dr. Cai has been involved in a number of field campaigns when NCAR s airborne Doppler radar ELDORA (Electra Doppler Radar) was deployed as one of the major observing instruments. 1

Most recently Dr. Cai s research interests include nowcasting convective storms using radar, satellite and NWP models both over land and over ocean.
