1 In account with STRATASYS, INC COMMERCE WAY EDEN PRAIRIE, MN USA Date W. O. No. 25 November 2014 Page 1 of 4 Pages T Identification As noted P. O. No. Shipper None IDENTIFICATION : One (1) set of prepared test specimens was submitted by Stratasys, Inc. for specimen preconditioning and determinations of the smoke emission characteristics of materials. Smoke density testing was conducted in accordance with ASTM E662-13, in both the flaming and nonflaming test modes. The client identified the test specimens as follows: STRATASYS IDENTIFICATION Ultem 1010 Resin High-Performance FDM Thermoplastic SPECIFICATION : None REFERENCES : 1. ASTM E662-13, "Standard Test Method for Specific Optical Density of Smoke Generated by Solid Materials". 2. Stratasys, Inc. Purchase Order No , dated 23 October 2014, providing statement of work. 3. Element Materials Technology Test Reports T , T and T , dated 25 November CAVEAT : The results of these tests were determined under controlled laboratory conditions and are not necessarily representative of the behavior of the material under actual fire conditions. However, results of these tests may be used as elements of a fire risk assessment that takes into account all of the factors that are pertinent to its end use.
2 Page 2 of 4 Pages REMARKS : The test articles submitted by the client consisted of one (1) set of prepared test specimens in standard size for the smoke density test. An effort to determine "worst case" orientation was made by testing a single specimen in each orientation, and testing the remaining specimens in that "worst case" orientation. There did not appear to be an appreciable difference in test results based on orientation. The results of all specimens tested are reported. TEST RESULTS RECAP SUMMARY (AVERAGES FOR EACH SET) Ultem 1010 Resin High-Performance FDM Thermoplastic Time from Start of Test Average Specific Optical Density (minutes) (inches/minute) ASTM E662 in the Flaming Test Mode ASTM E662 in the Nonflaming Test Mode RESULTS : The test articles submitted and identified by the client as Ultem 1010 Resin High-Performance FDM Thermoplastic, produced very little smoke during their test exposure. The test duration used was twenty (20) minutes. Respectfully submitted, Acceptance criteria are not specified in ASTM E for smoke density. All individual test results are presented on pages 3 and 4 of this report, and require the client's evaluation regarding conformity for their particular application. Graphic representations of specific optical density vs. time are presented in the appendix of this report.
