The remainder o f the legislators an d interested persons tha t ha d traveled to Independence moved to the auditoriu m i where th e bil l signin g woul d occur. To the platform - - i n the auditorium - - w / Mrs. Johnson, Th e Vice President, and Former Presiden t an d Mrs. Harr y Truma n and Governor Hearnes... President Truma n introduced the President... REMARKS BY THE PRESIDENT o n the occasio n o f the signin g of the medicare bill.
