The thesis is concerned with a stratigraphic study on the rocks exposed in the study area as well as a detailed taxonomic study on the invertebrate megafossils encountered including bivalves, gastropods, ammonites, corals and echinoids. The paleoecologic implication of this fauna and their environment is also dealt with : Ph. D. (Geology: Stratigraphy & Paleontology), Cologne University, Germany (Channel System under the auspice of the German Academic Exchange Agency DAAD ). Title: "Cretaceous corals from Egypt and Greece". The thesis is concerned with a stratigraphic study of some Cretaceous sections exposed in Egypt and Greece as well as a detailed taxonomic study on scleractinian corals collected from these sections.
