Discussion: What will happen with the Earth in the next 50 years? Of all the planets in our Universe, there is only one we know can support life, the Earth. We have the perfect conditions for life on Earth. With a Sun giving us light and heat, and an atmosphere protecting us from the ultraviolet radiation and providing us with oxygen, the Earth is a lucky planet. About 5 billion years ago, a huge asteroid crashed into the Earth, and tilted it at an angle of exactly 23,5 degrees to the Sun. This cataclysm disaster was essential to create the actual conditions that make possible life on Earth. Without it, we would not have seasons, climates, hot and cold, or landscapes of spectacular beauty. Life was born in our hydrosphere about 4 billion years ago. Since then life has risen, grown and flourished everywhere. Are you aware of how many different and extraordinary conditions joined to make possible the wonderful miracle of life on our planet? But this delicate balance is in danger. This planet struggles to support the growing human being demand. It is time to realize what we have and what we stand to lose.
