9 Icon Usage The image below is the complete list of icons to be associated with the weather conditions. Please note: some icons are used to cover multiple conditions (ie: Sunny, Mostly Sunny) Weather App v3 // Page 9
10 Background gradient knockback screens To ensure clear visibility of the overlay graphics & icons whilst maintaining visibility of the weather video beneath, dark semi-transparent gradients will be used between these layers. Different Gradients exist for different states in the application which will ensure icons & video are equally visible at all times. (Please investigate what creates the smallest file size or what is most appropriate, a bitmap, a transparent png file or to create the gradient in flash itself.) The following images show when to use which knockbacks & where the original gradient files can be found (in png format).
