Mirzaei *- S. Arshad 3 - H. Kossari 4 Received: Accepted: I the preset study, two methods of predictig evapotraspiratio by the use of satellite images were compared. Field data i a cor site was measured at agricultural egieerig research istitute private farm i 6 days. Cosequetly MODIS images were used for predictig evapotraspiratio by SEBAL ad S-SEBI algorithms. These algorithms are differet i predictig sesible heat flux. The results show that RSME value for the et radiatio ad soil heat flux was respectively 46 ad 43 (w/m ). SEBAL algorithm is capable to estimate sesible heat flux more accurate tha S-SEBI so it is able to estimate latet heat flux more accurate. The RSME amout i sesible heat flux ad latet heat flux for SEBAL algorithm are 58 ad 31 (w/m ) respectively. These amouts i S-SEBI algorithm are 111 ad 74 (w/m ). The differeces betwee two algorithms could be because of the use of meteorological data i predictig sesible heat flux ad aerodyamic resistace i SEBAL algorithm. Also the results show that SEBAL algorithm estimates hourly evapotraspiratio by the differece of 0.05 mm/hour which is about 1% of hourly evapotraspiratio Whereas S-SEBI predicted it by the differece of 0.11 ad 11%. The differece betwee measured daily evapotraspiratio ad SEBAL -based daily evapotraspiratio was 0.4 mm that is about 1% less tha measured. Whereas these differeces by S_SEBI are 1mm ad 1%.
