8 Lecturer in Dept. of Water Engineering, Ferdwosi University of Mashhad, I.R of Iran; Abstract Most of area in Iran country has been located in arid and semi arid regions and water resource management in this regions has been important problem for ever so the estimation of evapotranspiration in regional scale is important. At the recently decades, it is possible to use remote sensing methods. SEBAL is a commoly algorithm for this purpose that it is used in this paper and actual evapotranspiration is estimated in Mashhad s sub basin. In this stydy, it s used MODIS images with daily temporal resolution. By estimating of surface temperature, albedo and vegetation indices, we can calvulate leaf area index, surface emissivity and net radiation and finally it is generated daily evapotranspiration maps in regional scale. The results show actual evapotranspiration can be derived by MODIS satellite and SEBAL model in regional scale. Keywords: Actual evapotranspiration, MODIS, remote sensing, SEBAL
