1 Quantum Identity Guidelines for the Quantum StorNet Brand This guide is a tool designed to project the values and vision behind the Quantum StorNet brand. It is very important that it s followed carefully so that we can ensure a consistent style and quality of presentation. Everything we do and produce needs to reflect Quantum clearly and consistently.

2 Quantum StorNet Brand Elements QUANTUM STORNET BRAND The Quantum StorNet name typeface is the primary representation of the Quantum StorNet brand. The name typeface needs to be consistently represented throughout in order to maintain its integrity and purpose; which is to promote Quantum as a leader and innovator in archive, data management and digital workflow. The name typeface is consistent with other Quantum brands that are represented in the Humanist typeface only and does not differentiate itself from the Quantum brand. When a product logo is needed for promotional material outside of a Quantum produced item, the StorNet type must appear to the right of the Quantum logo. In cases where space is limited, Quantum and StorNet can be stacked. Otherwise StorNet can be represented on its own in the typeface available for download. POWERED BY STORNET BADGE The Powered by StorNet badge is the identifier for a partner solution that integrates Quantum s StorNet data management software with a partner s components (hardware or software) to provide content sharing or tiered-storage data movement. The Powered by StorNet badge may be used by the partner on product literature, advertising, sales presentations, in retail environments or any other promotional communication of a product that integrates the StorNet software. It may be used where ever practical on partner s informative communications such as Websites, forms, manuals, technical documents, and corporate signage for solutions that utilize StorNet. The badge can also be used as a sign on the partner s hardware itself. QUANTUM STORNET REFERENCE ICON The Quantum StorNet brand allows for the use of a reference mark a symbol representing the flow and movement of data. It is styled to suggest accuracy, speed and brilliance rather than storage and tape. This mark in its complete form may only be used as a GUI interface icon, representing the start button to launch StorNet software or as an iconic representation of Quantum s StorNet technology in full system schematic illustrations. Also, the complete icon or the arrow elements within it can be used as environmental graphics within Quantum StorNet communications such as manuals, technical documents, corporate signage or digital materials like GUI backgrounds, powerpoint topography and websites. 1 The files containing the StorNet brand elements are available for download at /brandbuilder

3 Quantum StorNet Name Usages & Marks USE OF THE STORNET PRODUCT NAME When mentioning StorNet in copy for the first time, the correct way is to start with Quantum StorNet. After the first mentioning, StorNet can be used as a stand alone product name without the Quantum name preceeding it. When mentioning StorNet F in copy for the first time, the correct way is to start with Quantum StorNet F. After the first reference, StorNet F can be used as a stand alone product name without the Quantum name preceeding it, but both components of the product name [StorNet F] must be used. NAME USAGES FOR CORE COMPONENTS StorNet is composed of two core components: StorNet File System - provides data sharing functionality StorNet Storage Manager - provides data movement functionality The StorNet name must always be used when referring to either component of the StorNet product for the first time: StorNet File System, StorNet Storage Manager. While referring to Quantum s StorNet File System or Storage Manager, the product names should start with capital letters. If discussing file systems and storage managers in general, the names start with lower case. The Registered symbol ( ) should always be used after the first reference on any page where StorNet is mentioned. StorNet is a registered trademark and should be used as an adjective to describe the product itself. ( i.e. StorNet F, StorNet File System, StorNet Storage Manager, etc.) Please note: In digital environments, should be manually adjusted to maimize legibility at small sizes. TYPE STRUCTURE FOR STORNET StorNet should always be typed out with the letters S and N as capitals. Certain designs requires all CAPS, which is acceptable, but upper/lower characters is preferred. 4 Powered by StorNet Badge PREFERRED CLEAR SPACE The preferred clear space surrounding the Powered by StorNet Badge is 2 its height which equals 2 the distance from the cap height of the S in the StorNet name to the top edge of the blue field. The minimum clear space surrounding the Powered by StorNet Badge is equal to the distance from the cap height of the S in the StorNet name to the top edge of the blue field. Preferred Clear Space MINIMUM SIZE REQUIREMENTS The Powered by StorNet badge in printed media can be no smaller than 1.5 inches wide (38.1mm wide). 2 The Powered by StorNet badge in digital media can be no smaller than 160p wide. The tet may be removed from the badge when it is too small to read but it may not be adjusted. A link must also be embedded into the badge so interaction with the badge will take users to: Minimum Clear Space Quantum StorNet Reference Icon PREFERRED CLEAR SPACE The preferred clear space surrounding the Quantum StorNet Reference Icon is its height which equals to 50% of the icon s height. The minimum clear space surrounding the Quantum StorNet Reference Icon is equal to 1/2 its height which equals to 25% of the icon s height. MINIMUM SIZE REQUIREMENTS The Quantum StorNet Reference Icon in printed media can be no smaller than.28 inches wide (7.4mm wide). Preferred Clear Space Minimum Clear Space 3 The Quantum StorNet Reference Icon in digital media can be no smaller than 16p wide and tall.
