(East Ridge) Head Coach: Frank Reed (Western States) - Ninth Season Assistant Coaches: Brad Irwin (Chattanooga, 1999) and Shaina Ervin (NC State, 2007) Volunteer Assistant Coach: Jeff Martin DON T COUNT THEM OUT Just when Georgia Southern had thought it solved the Lady Mocs plating three runs in the fi rst inning of game one and with its ace Brianna Streetmon on the mound. UTC looked bound for its fi rst conference loss of the season, but that outlook changed for the team in the fourth as two hit by pitches and an error loaded the bases as sophomore Jessica Traxler singled in a run for the road team. The Lady Mocs continued the pressure in the fi fth as freshman Kasey Tydingco reached on an error and junior Lyndsey Stiles and senior Kaiti Kelley singled. With the bases full of Lady Mocs again, Blosser singled to tie the contest at two and a sacrifi ce fl y by junior Tiffany Baker put Chattanooga up 4-3. It took no time for head coach Frank Reed to go with his closer Irwin the rest of the way for the three-inning save as the Lady Mocs tacked on another run via a Blosser suicide squeeze in the seventh. STRONG PITCHING FROM WATERS Junior pitcher Nikki Waters has been impressive when its matter most posting a 0.89 ERA in conference games. Waters has only given up four earned runs in fi ve appearances registering a 4-0 record in 21.1 innings. She has fanned 27 on the season. The best performance came in a one-hit complete game shutout against Western Carolina. She followed it up with another gem throwing 6.2 innings and allowing only four hits for the victory over the Eagles as Kandice Irwin notched her 11th save of the season. IRWIN CONTINUES TO IMPRESS Irwin is like a secret weapon for coach Reed because of her mind set on the mound late in games. She has earned 11 saves on the season and seven victories all as a reliever. Against Georgia Southern, it was her ability to hold down the Eagle hitters consistently throwing 9.2 innings to notch two saves and a victory striking out 13. She made her longest appearance of the season in the series fi nale throwing 6.2 innings in the 11 frame contest. ITS A MARATHON, NOT A SPRINT After the Lady Mocs used four-straight hits capped off by RBI singles from Blosser and junior Tiffany Baker, Chattanooga scored twice on Streetmon, who paces the conference in ERA. It appeared that Chattanooga was going to roll to victory registering six hits thru three frames. The Eagles were able to manufacture runs in the fi fth and sixth to knot the score at two. In the 11- inning contest, Chattanooga banged out 15 hits, but stranded 15 runners on base. The Lady Mocs were hampered by grounding into a triple play and a double plays. UTC scored three times in the 11th on a sacrifi ce fl y by junior Lauren Flroes, suicide squeeze by Blosser and single from Stiles. The Eagles responded in the bottom-half as Megen Smith retook the SoCon home run lead from Baker with a liner over the left center fi eld fence, but Irwin ended the contest as Chattanooga won 5-4. BAKER S HEROICS Baker once again came through for the Lady Mocs scoring the only run of the second game at Georgia Southern on a towering home run to left center. The one run was all the Waters would need to pick up the win and Irwin sealed the door shut with her 11th save of the campaign. FLORES ON A ROLL Junior Lauren Flores ended an 11-game hitting streak at Georgia Southern. During that stretch, the Ft. Oglethorpe, Ga., native hit.559 including four doubles and a triple combing for 19 hits and driving in fi ve runs. She slugged.735 in those contests. Keri Meigs has the longest streak by a Lady Mocs registering a hit in 18-consecutive contests back in BAKER S SECOND SLAM For the second time in her career, junior Tiffany Baker came up with the bases loaded and delivered a grand slam home run for the Lady Mocs in the second game at Tennessee State. The blast put Chattanooga up 8-4 in the game as it went of to win Baker s fi rst slam came against Belmont on March 18 last season. She now has 10 home runs this season and is the UTC career leader at 28. The East Ridge, Tenn., native paces the Lady Mocs in seven offensive categories. SAVES RECORDS ARE IRWIN S Junior Kandice Irwin notched her ninth save of the season at Tennessee St. breaking the UTC career saves record held by teammate Brooke Loudermilk with 10. She also took down the Southern Conference single-season record held by Maureen Flynn from WEEK NINE - APRIL CHATTANOOGA SOFTBALL PAGE 2

3 UNCG in 2002 with eight. Over the past month, Irwin has fi ve victories as a reliever and six saves. The NCAA single season save record is 15 set by Mallory Aldred from Canisius in Irwin has 41 strikeouts on the season in 21 appearances as a reliever in 44.0 innings pitched adding six victories. STILES SWIPING BAGS Junior Lyndsey Stiles is tied for the Southern Conference stolen base lead with Sarah Rapple from Appalachian State with 19, three ahead of Tomeka Watson from Elon. Stiles was active on the bases paths against the Catamounts with three thefts and has not been caught by an opponent. She has moved into second place all-time at UTC with 45 in that category passing Leah Tucker ( ) at 44. Jeannie Cochran ( ) is the all-time leader with 94 steals. STARTING STRONG The nine-consecutive victories to begin the Southern Conference schedule for Chattanooga is the best start since In that season, the Lady Mocs rolled off 13-straight victories on their way to the regular season and tournament titles and second trip to an NCAA Regional. This is the best conference start for Chattanooga under head coach Frank Reed eclipsing an eight win start in CONFERENCE HONORS WATERS Junior Nikki Waters pitched a one-hitter against conference foe Western Carolina for her second victory of the week and was named SoCon Pitcher of the Week. She also claimed a victory at Georgia State. Against the Catamounts, the Soddy Daisy, Tenn., native fanned nine, while only allowing two to reach base, a leadoff double and walk. A caught stealing erased the runner from the double and a walk in the second was the only speed bump as Waters pitched to one batter over the minimum, 21. retiring the fi nal 17. THE COMEBACK KIDS Seven times Chattanooga has been down at least two runs in the fourth inning or later and rallied to victory. The Lady Mocs overcame a defi cit in the fourth once, fi fth once, sixth twice and with their backs against the wall in the seventh, an amazing three times. One coming at Frost Stadium as Chattanooga erased Rutgers lead in the seventh and eighth to give head coach Frank Reed his 800th career win, while another came at Samford, when coach Reed pinch hit three times in the inning as the Lady Mocs knotted the score at two and Baker hit a solo home run in the eighth for a win. UTC NEW HOME RUN QUEEN Junior Tiffany Baker used a two home run performance against Georgia State to break the UTC career home run record with her 26th and 27th. They were her eighth and ninth on the season. She passed Melissa Ramirez ( ) and Laci Upchurch ( ) at 25 on the UTC career home run list. Baker has been a dominant hitter all season leading the team in seven different offensive categories. LOUDERMILK HAS STRIKEOUT RECORD Senior Brooke Loudermilk has struck out 169 batters this season and broke the UTC all-time strikeout record in the fourth inning at Samford passing Beth Alexander with 785 from The Locust Grove, Ga., native broke the record in innings less than Alexander and now has 809 achieving her 800th career strikeout in the series fi nale with Western Carolina. She has toed the rubber in innings, which is second alltime at Chattanooga. Beth Alexander is the leader pitching in innings from She is also third in appearances with 138 and the record is held by Alexander at 152. TIMELY PINCH HITTING The Lady Mocs pinch hitters are batting a combined.421 (16-for-38) on the year. Freshman Kasey Tydingco, sophomore Jenni Martin, sophomore Kristin Holloway, Waters and senior Della Harrison have all driven in runs. Martin (5-for-12) has two game-winning hits against Northern Iowa and Eastern Illinois. Harrison has converted on four opportunities to drive in a career-high six runs, including the game-winning two-rbi double in extra innings to beat Rutgers, 6-5, and a grand slam at Samford. HITTING IS CONTAGIOUS In Chattanooga s 18 victories, it is hitting.317 as a team with six starters averaging.300 or better. They have scored 142 runs. All but one home run by the Lady Mocs have come in victory. On the other hand, in the seven losses, the squad has been less than stellar scoring just six runs and combining to hit.173 as a team. No player is above.300 in those contests. HOMERUN POP Junior Della Harrison had just fi ve hits in 24 career at bats coming into the series fi nale at Samford, with four of those hits coming this season. Head coach Frank Reed brought her in with the bases full of Lady Mocs and Harrison powered a pitch over the left center fi eld fence for a Grand Slam and fi rst career home run. It was the seventh different Lady Moc to hit a round tripper this season totaling 23 and the second slam in two days with the fi rst hit by senior Tia Blosser. SEASON OF FIRST FOR WATERS After transferring from Southern Illinois, junior Nikki Waters has been impressive getting her fi rst opportunity as a hitter. Waters has already hit fi ve home runs, a triple and two doubles in 17 games with Chattanooga. She started out the season as a hitter only when she pitched, but that changed when Waters drove in seven runs against Furman with three home runs and a double. The Soddy Daisy, Tenn., native is now a fi xture at designated player, when Waters is not in the circle for Chattanooga. BLOSSER COMES THROUGH WITH BASES LOADED Senior Tia Blosser had struggled at the plate with the bases loaded earlier of the doubleheader at Samford including hitting a rocket to the third baseman, who caught it for a double play. The Knoxville, Tenn., native made no doubts in the sixth inning of game two hitting a blast over the fence in left center fi eld for a no-doubt grand slam for the Lady Mocs. The homer was the fourth on the season for Blosser. Earlier in the game sophomore Jessica Traxler hit her second of the season putting Chattanooga on the board in the second. CLUTCH PINCH HITTING Not only did Harrison have a grand slam as a pinch hitter, it took three players off the bench for coach Reed to ignite the offense in the fi rst game at Samford. Freshman Sara Poteat led off the inning with an infi eld single followed by a double by junior Lauren Flores to put the Lady Mocs in business. With two runners in scoring position, Harrison came on to pinch hitter driving ball through the hole on the left side to cut into the Bulldog leads 2-1. A second-consecutive pinch hitter Jenni Martin went with a pitch through the hole on the right side to tie the game at two. 5 drove a pitch for a solo home run lifting Chattanooga to a 3-2 victory in the eighth inning. FINALLY A TRIPLE It took 30 games for the Lady Mocs to have a threebagger this season after junior Lauren Flores took a pitch to the opposite fi eld with the bases loaded for the second triple of her career in the fi nale at Samford. The Bulldogs were pitching the left fi elder inside and repositioned their outfi elders, so Flores stroked the pitch the other way down the right fi eld line. HURNDON BREAKS THROUGH After a forgettable fi rst 23 at bats, senior Lynleigh Hurndon broke out last week picking up a single on a suicide squeeze vs. Eastern Illinois. She continued to see the ball well driving in two runs with a double and going 4-for-7 in the twin bill at Belmont. HITS ALL AROUND The 12 hits that the Lady Mocs banged out vs. Eastern Illinois at Frost Stadium in a 12-4 victory was the most since Chattanooga had 13 against Georgia Southern (4/25/09). Eight different players picked up hits in the contest, while senior Lyndsey Stiles, juniors Nikki Waters and Lauren Flores and freshman Sara Poteat had multiple hits. Stiles led the team with three RBI in the game with senior Kaiti Kelley, junior Tiffany Baker and Waters having multi-rbi games. COMEBACK KIDS For the second time in its last at bat, Chattanooga was down one against Eastern Illinois after the Panthers scored twice in the top of the seventh. With junior Della Harrison pinch running after a single by senior Brittany Eason, pinch hitter Jenni Martin delivered an RBI double over the center fi elder s head tied the game at two. Irwin shutdown the Panthers in the top of the eighth and Stiles ended the game with an RBI single to left center playing freshman Kasey Tydingco from second. The Lady Mocs are 2-0 in extra inning contests including a comeback victory over Rutgers during the Frost Classic Inspired by Memorial. WATERS OPENS THE FLOODGATES With a light drizzle all day, junior Nikki Waters came through in a big way against Furman with seven RBI and two home runs in a doubleheader swept by Chattanooga. The Soddy Daisy, Tenn., native was called on to pinch hit with the bases loaded and came through with a two-rbi single. As the starting pitcher in game two, she erased a Paladin lead with a tworun homer to center and added to it with a two-rbi double the next inning. Waters capped off the day with a round tripper over the left fi eld bleachers. The fi ve RBI in a single game was the most since Tara Tembey achieved the same feat against Middle Tennessee on April 25, LEAVING THE YARD Sophomore Jessica Traxler and Waters became the fi fth and six Lady Mocs to hit a home run this season. Baker paces the team with six followed by Waters with four and Blosser with three. Chattanooga has hit a total 16 on the year. Eason and Taxler each have one. CONFERENCE OPENERS The Lady Mocs are now 13-4 all-time to begin the conference season and have won their last three openers. Chattanooga is 15-3 when playing its fi rst conference home game and 10-2 at Frost Stadium. OFFENSIVE EXPLOSION After the fi rst day of the USF Under Armour Invitational where No. 24 UMass and Virginia Tech held the Lady Mocs scoreless. Chattanooga broke out with 12 hits and scoring eight times as it defeated Bradley 8-2. Sophomore Jessica Traxler recorded four hits and a career-high two doubles in the victory. Also picking up multiple hits was junior Lauren Flores, who posted three singles. WILD AND WHACKY TIME IN TAMPA The Lady Mocs had quite an experience at the USF Under Armour Invitational. Loudermilk was called for close to 20 illegal pitches in the four games she pitched leading to four runs crossing the plate. Junior Michelle Fuzzard before being injured against UMass was called out for interference after striking out. Fuzzard swung hard over top a pitch on the outside part of the plate and when the catcher threw to second the umpire called dead ball and ruled that the runner junior Lyndsey Stiles was out because of interference between the hitter and catcher. Another situation arose that could have changed the course of the game against Rutgers when catcher Brittany Eason applied a tag to the runner and showed the ball to the umpire. The plate umpire ruled the runner was safe because the slide into the catcher caused Eason to bobble the ball. At that point the score was 2-0 and Rutgers went onto score two more runs that inning and three in the seventh to take a 7-0 victory. THE DIFFERENCE IN A YEAR Senior Tia Blosser has started out this season with a renewed confi dence at the plate hitting.311 with a.556 slugging percentage and three of her four career home runs. The Locust Grove, Ga., native picked up wins against Rutgers, Kansas and Miami (Ohio). She is 7-2 overall this season with a 0.84 ERA and 69 strikeouts in 50.2 innings pitched. It was the eighth time that Loudermilk has been honored by the conference. REED NOTCHES 800TH CAREER WIN One of the most memorable games for head coach Frank Reed was his 800th against Rutgers. In a game where Chattanooga was down 3-1 in the seventh, senior Kaiti Kelley stepped up and delivered a two-rbi double down the right fi eld line to send the game into extra innings. The Scarlet Knights would score twice in the top of the eighth, but the Lady Mocs scored one and had two in scoring position in the bottom-half. Reed had pitcher Loudermilk in the on deck area in what would have been her fi rst career at bat, but went with junior Della Harrison, a utility player that only had one prior career hit. Harrison drove a ball down the left fi eld line for a game winning two-rbi double to earn a 6-5 victory in eight innings. STILES PERFECT Junior Lyndsey Stiles went 4-for-4 against Georgetown notched her fi rst double of the season. The leadoff hitter for the Lady Mocs was driven in three times by her teammates. She ended the weekend with her eighth stolen base of the season against Miami (Ohio) and she has not been caught yet. LADY MOCS LOOKING FOR CONSISTENCY In the fi rst game of each day at the Frost Classic Inspired by Memorial, Chattanooga scored only two runs through the fi rst three innings, but the bats heated up as the games went on. The Lady Mocs scored 11 runs in the second half of those games. With the offense rolling in the second game of each day, Chattanooga out scored its opponents 14-0 banging out 21 hits against Kansas and Georgetown. LOUDERMILK AND BAKER HONORED The conference offi ce announced on Feb. 22 that senior Brooke Loudermilk was the Southern Conference Pitcher of the Week, while junior Tiffany Baker took Player of the Week honors. The Lady Mocs have now swept the weekly softball awards for the 21st time dating back to HOME RUN POWER FROM BAKER With three home runs in a single day on Feb. 21, Baker passed a career-high with two in one game. The East Ridge, Tenn., native had what proved to be the game winning three-run homer in a 7-6 victory vs. Butler. After going 3-for-3 with long ball that was crushed at Austin Peay, the junior now has 23 for her career, just two shy of Upchurch and Ramirez. DOMINATE PITCHING PERFORMANCES At the Austin Peay Classic, Loudermilk went 3-0 without giving up an earned run and striking out 29 batters in 18.0 innings pitched. The senior notched two doubledigit strikeout performances on the weekend including striking out the fi rst nine batters against Northern Iowa on the way to 13. Loudermilk has fanned a total of 49 batters in 31.2 innings pitched. GAME-WINNING HITS Junior Lauren Flores had a single against Butler that drove in the game-winning run in a 2-1 victory, while pinch hitter Jenni Martin came up and delivered a clutch single to center in the sixth inning against Northern Iowa to help UTC take a 2-1 lead. Flores executed a perfect suicide squeeze bunt single scoring freshman Kasey Tydingco to knot the score at one. BLOSSER S NEW FOUND POWER Senior Tia Blosser hit two home runs this weekend at Tennessee State and Butler. They were only the second and third of her career with the fi rst coming as a freshman in the Southern Conference Tournament against Georgia Southern (5/9/07). LOUDERMILK BREAKS SAVE RECORD After notching her fi rst win of the season against Florida Atlantic, senior Brooke Loudermilk came in to shut the door against UCF with the Lady Mocs up 4-2. The hurler recorded an eight-out save striking out three Knights. It was the 10th save of her career passing Amy Robertson ( ). STARTING OFF STRONG Junior third baseman Tiffany Baker led the charge against the Sooners registering two of the team s three hits. Against FAU, Baker drove in the game winning run with a hit through the left side. Then against the Knights, the East Ridge, Tenn., native showed her power by hitting a pitch over the left fi eld fence to knot the score at two. LEADOFF DUO Senior Kaiti Kelley and junior Lyndsey Stiles each recorded three hits from the top two spots in the lineup. Kelley added a sacrifi ce that moved Stiles to second. When the top of the order gets on base, it sets up the middle part of the lineup to drive them in. CLUTCH GAME-TYING HOME RUNS On the second day of the NTC Invitational, senior Brittany Eason and Baker each recorded home runs to tie the game against Florida Atlantic and UCF. Eason blasted a towering home run over the left center fi eld fence against Florida Atlantic, while Baker s just cleared the left fi eld fence against UCF. Both long balls sparked the Lady Mocs offense to victory. WATERS FIGHTS THROUGH ROUGH START Junior Nikki Waters had a tough time with No. 3 Michigan, but came back strong against UCF earning the victory. The Soddy Daisy, Tenn., native proved to be effective against the Knights striking out four, while only giving up two runs. IRWIN EARNS THE SAVE Junior Kandice Irwin came in for relief of Loudermilk against Florida Atlantic for a six-out save. The hard throwing right hander struck out two batters. She added another save against Butler for the fourth of her career moving to seventh all time. CHATTANOOGA IN OPENERS The Lady Mocs fell to 8-9 in the 17-year history of the program with a 1-0 loss to No. 10 Oklahoma. Loudermilk baffl ed the Sooners batters the entire game only surrendering three hits and striking out nine batters. Chattanooga had its opportunities stranding two runners in scoring position in the fi fth, while Oklahoma posted the only run of the game on a sacrifi ce fl y in the sixth. LADY MOCS RETURN NINE STARTERS The season is bright for Chattanooga as it has only lost one starter, third baseman Toni Hutchison, from last year s run to the Tuscaloosa Regional. The squad captured the Southern Conference Regular Season WEEK NINE - APRIL CHATTANOOGA SOFTBALL PAGE 6

The East Ridge, Tenn., native looks CLIMBING THE CAREER CHARTS providing Chattanooga with plenty of depth and forward to the challenge of learning a new position. experience CHATTANOOGA PICKED TO WIN SOCON The Lady Mocs were selected unanimously for the fourth-straight season to capture the Southern Conference title. Chattanooga received each of the eight possible fi rst-place votes with Georgia Southern earning the fi nal fi rst-place vote. Georgia Southern, College of Charleston and Appalachian State round out the top four and the teams that would advance to the reformatted SoCon Tournament. This season, only the top four teams earn the right to play in the two-day tournament played at the side of the highest seed. SEVEN VOTED TO SOCON PRESEASON TEAMS Two seniors: Brittany Eason (C) and Brooke Loudermilk (P) and three juniors Michelle Fuzzard (1B), Tiffany Baker (2B) and Lyndsey Stiles (OF) were selected by the league s coaches to the Southern Conference First Team. Senior outfi elder Kaiti Kelley was given second team honors. Six of the seven on the honored were also selected to All-SoCon teams following last season. Loudermilk only competed in half of the 2009 campaign due to shoulder surgery, but is a two-time SoCon Pitcher of the Year. A TRUE PITCHING STAFF After returning three aces in senior Brooke Loudermilk, juniors Kandice Irwin and Michelle Fuzzard from last season, Chattanooga added a transfer in junior Nikki Waters that went 15-2 with Southern Illinois in Fuzzard, Loudermilk and Waters will be the three primary starters with Irwin coming in for relief and shut the door on opponents. WATERS COMES BACK HOME Junior Nikki Waters, a Chattanooga native from Soddy Daisy, Tenn., pitched the past two season at Southern Illinois and compiled a record and 2.31 ERA. She will provide depth giving head coach Frank Reed many options from the bullpen. Waters will also be given the chance to hit and help the Lady Mocs offense when she pitches. An opportunity that Waters did not have with the Salukies. FUZZARD FOCUSING ON HITTING Junior pitcher and fi rst baseman Michelle Fuzzard has been mastering the art of two position during her career at Chattanooga. Last season, she was named to the All-Southern Conference First Team at fi rst base and Second Team as pitcher for her outstanding work at both positions. Fuzzard is the fi rst player in SoCon history to be named to both teams as a position player and pitcher (two players have done it as DP and P). She hit.335 with seven home runs and recorded a 3.51 ERA and 102 strikeouts, but posted an impressive 5-0 conference record. Now with a pitching staff, she will be able to focus on hitting and fi rst base because she most likely will know in advance prior to being starting pitcher. This provides her time to prepare for both roles and should only rarely be asked to vacate her spot at fi rst during a game to pitch. BAKER MOVES TO THE HOT CORNER After an ankle injury in the opening game of the NCAA Tuscaloosa Regional and the graduation of standout third baseman Toni Hutchison, junior Tiffany Baker makes the transition from second to third base. Last EXPERIENCE IN THE OUTFIELD Senior Kelly as well as juniors Stiles and Flores are competing for time in the outfi eld. All have contributed at least a season in the outfi eld. The duo of Kelley and Stiles at the top of the order has helped to produce runs with both of them on maintaining batting averages above.300. SOFT HANDS Three Lady Mocs Fuzzard, Lynleigh Hurndon and Brittany Eason are in the top six of the all-time fi elding percentage list. Fuzzard is tied for second with a.991 mark, Hurndon is fi fth at.990 and Eason is tied for sixth at.998. Year in and year out, Reed preaches defensive fundamentals to his team and it shows as the team typically ranks near the top of the nation in fi elding percentage. Last year, the Lady Mocs fi nished the season ranked 47th. Earned Run Avg. 1. J.D. Last year, UTC played one of its toughest schedules in recent memory and entered Southern Conference play under.500. The squad dominated conference action claiming a 15-5 record to clinch its 11th regular season title. Chattanooga hosted and swept the SoCon Tournament for the 10th time, advancing to its seventh NCAA Regional appearance. During the 2008 season, the Lady Mocs fi nished with a record, 13-5 SoCon mark, regular season SoCon title and SoCon Tournament championship. UTC advanced to its fi fth appearance in the NCAA Regional Tournament. UTC posted a stellar 16-5 mark in conference play in 2007 to claim its fi rst regular season crown since 2004 and completed the regular season with a record. The season came to an early end during the SoCon Tournament. During the 2005 and 2006 seasons, Chattanooga won 84 games. The team fell in the SoCon Tournament Championship game in 2005 after fi nishing with a record. Following an extremely successful 10-year stint on the junior college circuit at nearby Chattanooga State Technical Community College, Reed was introduced as Chattanooga s third coach in the program s history on August 1, He almost immediately pushed Chattanooga softball to a level it had never before seen, guiding the team to its third-straight NCAA Tournament appearance. Along the way, the Lady Mocs opened the season with back-to-back no-hitters and knocked off top-25 teams Ohio State and Baylor, all while never dropping more than two games in a row. The Lady Mocs garnered national recognition that season as they posted two upset wins over top-seeded No. 12 Florida Atlantic at the NCAA Regional. UTC then just missed capturing a berth in the Softball College World Series after narrow losses to Georgia Tech and Florida State to closed out the season. In 2001 the Lady Tigers were among the highest in the nation, posting a 62-3 record, attaining a ranking of No. 2 in the nation and fi nishing fourth in the 2001 national tournament. As a result of that season, Reed was named National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) National Junior College Coach of the Year in The team s.954 winning percentage remains in the record books as the highest in NJCAA Division I history.
