1 SECTION 2 BIDDING DATA The following specific data for the works to be procured shall complement, amend, or supplement the provisions in Section1, Instructions to Bidders. Whenever there is a conflict, the provisions herein shall prevail over those in the Instructions to Bidders. INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS CLAUSE REFERENCE Clause 1.1 THE EMPLOYER IS: State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd. (MSEDCL) represented by the:, MSEDCL, ADM Bldg, Tarabai Park, Kolhapur Phone: (0231) / Fax: (0231) Clause 1.1 & 1.2 BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE WORKS IS AS FOLLOWS: The Works to be executed under this Contract will include the design, test, supply, transport, construction, erection, testing and commissioning of transmission lines, distribution lines, service connections, power transformers of varying capacities, distribution transformers of varying capacities, testing, pre-commissioning and commissioning of sub-stations and other allied works, including a five year guarantee (defects liability) period, for implementation of MSEDCL s Infrastructure Plan (Infra Plan) on a single point responsibility, divisible contract, Turnkey basis as defined in the bidding documents, under the Contract as described in the table below: Bid Number CE/ Zone - Kolhapur/ Circle Kolahpur/ InfraPlan/ T-1 Particulars of Work Sub transmission and distribution works in the Kolhapur Circle under in the State of Estimated Cost (Rs. Clause 1.3 PERIOD OF COMPLETION: The Works shall be completed in its entirety within 24 (twenty four) months from the Start Date, which shall be the date of issue of the Notice to Proceed or such other Start Date as may be specified in the Notice to Proceed. WORKS G UARANTEE (DEFECTS LIABILITY) PERIOD: The Works, Plant and Equipment supplied under the Contract shall be guaranteed against defects in materials, workmanship and manufacturer s defects for a period of 60 (sixty) months after completion and acceptance by the Employer. BID VALIDITY: Bids shall remain valid for a period of: 90 (ninety) days after the date of opening of the bid. BID SECURITY: A Bid Security in the amount specified under the preceding Clause 1.1 & 1.2 shall be provided as a part of the bid, which shall remain valid for a period of: 28 (twenty eight) days beyond the validity of the bid.
