4 Main Goal Support strategic decision making in innovation policy Our research arises from the will to understand the relational dynamics that exist between the structuring of new (or renewed) centers of urbanity and the innovative entrepreneurial dynamics influencing (and influenced by) new relational/spatial configurations 4

8 Background 3/3: New Science of city urban systems create dense agglomerations of competencies necessary for keeping up with a shifting techno-scientific frontier urban systems have to develop the ability to organize dynamics subspaces of the global workspace and the capabilities of creating and clustering material and immaterial resources. A crucial strategy might be to create innovative eco-systems, triggered and sustained through platform 8
