CANADA V6E 2EB 1.0 SUMMARY A geophysical survey was conducted on the Silver Queen 2 mineral claim located at the headwaters of the Goldvalley Creek, in the Zeballos area, Vancouver Island. The work consisted of a ground magnetometer survey using a proton precession instrument, and a ground EM survey using a VLF EM Sabre instrument. Ninety-five stations were established at 10 metre intervals along 0.95 line kilometres, resulting in a total of 190 readings. The total cost of the work being submitted for assessment credit is $1, The magnetometer survey indicates that the magnetic gradient increases quite uniformly northward across the Silver Queen 2 property. The magnitude of the change is on the order of 300 gammas. The VLF survey indicates several weak conductors and one moderately strong conductor which requires follow up investigation.

4 Y DOLMAGE CAMPBELL & ASSOCIATES (1975) LTD ul 2.0 INTRODUCTION 2.1 Location The Silver Queen 1 and Silver Queen 2 reverted Crown Grants are located at the south end of Gold Valley in the Zeballos gold camp, Vancouver Island, British Columbia. The general location is shown in Figure 1. The approximate coordinates of the property are 50 01'N., 126'46'W. The UTM coordinates of the centre of Silver Queen 2 are Access Access to the area is by all-weather road to the mining and logging community of Zeballos, and by logging road and trail to the head of Gold Valley. See Index Map, Figure 2. In the vicinity of the subject properties, the elevation of the valley bottom is 670 m (2200 ft.). 2.3 History Historic information on the Silver Queen properties is given in an Open File report by P.W. Racey (1937) located in the B.C. Ministry of Mines and Petroleum Resources, Victoria. Racey described gold mineralization on the claims and recommended further work. No gold production has been recorded from the Silver Queen claims. Tne subject claims are presently owned by A.F. Long who has implemented exploration work on them since Notice to Group the two claims was submitted by Long on August 10, The present Operator of the claims is a private resource company, Golden Quadrant Resources Ltd. located at West Georgia Street, Vancouver, B.C., V6E 2Y Geophysical Field Work The present geophysical survey was conducted on July 28, 1984 in difficult terrain conditions. A total of 950 metres of flagged line was surveyed by three men using an MP-2 Scintrex proton precession magnetometer and a Sabre VLF EM instrument. Approximately ninety-five stations were established at 10 metre intervals using hip chain and compass. One magnetic and one EM reading were recorded at each station.

7 uo DOLMAGE CAMPBELL & ASSOCIATES 11976) LTD i 3.0 GENERAL GEOLOGY Y Silver Queen 1 and 2 are underlain principally by quartz diorite of the Zeballos stock. This rock is a medium grained biotite-hornblende quartz diorite typical of the area. The west side of Silver Queen 1 straddles a northwest-striking andesite contact of some interest. A poorly exposed vein occurs on Silver Queen 2 at an elevation of 686 m (2250 ft.). A single grab sample from the vein obtained in July, 1984, assayed as follows: The approximate location of this sample is shown on Figures 3 and 4. J 9

8 3 DOLMAGE CAMPBELL & ASSOCIATES (18765) LTD RESULTS OF GEOPHYSICAL WORK 4.1 Ground Magnetic Survey Results of the magnetometer survey of Silver Queen 2 are shown in Figure 3. A base value of 55,000 gammas was used and the uncorrected results were contoured using a 100 gamma interval. A general increese of about 300 gammas in magnetic gradient is noted from south to north in the northern half of the property. Inspection of the data indicates that the corrected readings would confirm these trends, though dampen them to some extent. 4.2 Ground VLF EM Survey The VLF EM results, taken at the same stations as indicated in the magnetometer survey, as shown in Figure 4. The values shown represent null angle readings which have been filtered by a technique described by D.C. Fraser (1969). The filtered data indicate the presence of several weak conductors, and one moderately strong conductor at zone A on the western traverse line. The conductor at Zone A may reflect the extension of mineralization noted at sample point 0053, (see also section 3.0). It requires follow up investigation. Y
