PRECISION AGRICULTURE SERVICES AVAILABLE
Yield Mapping, Data Analysis, Data Storage, Data Processing The key to precision agriculture is the data. Many systems and software packages interpret data differently. Therefore it is of primary importance that data gathered is stored in its original form and format.
Random Soil Sampling, Grid Soil Sampling, Point Soil Sampling Random Geo-Referenced soil sampling: This is the ability to return to the same spots to generate the actual soil sample. This builds consistency in the sampling due to the sample coming from the same spots. Grid Soil Sampling: The field is laid out in a systematic grid pattern and samples are taken in the center of each grid. Grid size is determined by the customer. This soil sampling method is most useful to diagnose problems and or to correct ph imbalances. Point Sampling: This method is used to pull information from different spots within the field. The points could be based on yield data, soil types, electric conductivity areas, or any other recognizable field attribute. These areas are then treated similar for recommendations and fertilizer placement.
Field Mapping, Tile Mapping, any other mapping Field Mapping: This is a way to have accurate field maps and acreages on your farm or farms. Tile Mapping: Tile lines can be shown for farm recordkeeping as well as future uses if tile lines become plugged.
Field Mapping using Electric Conductivity Electric Conductivity: The basis for electric conductivity is that sands don t conduct electricity, silts conduct a moderate amount, and clays conduct the most. Therefore this is a map of your soils and their moisture holding capacity. There is a very high correlation between electric conductivity areas and yield maps.
Variable Rate Applications, Prescription Writing Variable Rate Applications: Many times the cost of the grid sampling can be recovered by the savings in lime. Grid sampling can determine if Variable Rate Lime will apply less total lime than a random sample would recommend. Variable rate fertilizer is also a possibility. Many areas of a field yield differently. However we have continued to blanket apply fertilizer. This is most useful if we have yield data or electric conductivity data to base a variable yield goal to the soil test data.
Yield Monitor Sales and Service, Guidance Systems Sales Yield Monitor Sales: Blanchard Valley Farmers Cooperative is an authorized Ag Leader dealer. We carry the complete line of Ag Leader yield monitors as well as other Ag Leader products for precision agriculture. These include variable rate controllers, swathing, and field computers. Guidance Systems Sales: Blanchard Valley Farmers Cooperative handles many swath guidance system that utilizes the W.A.A.S., Coast Guard, or Satellite systems.

This is an as applied map. This shows how we applied the prescription we wanted.
This is why we stress the importance of Lime. Notice that all elements are more readily available at around 6.5pH
