1 2012 Crop Year Fertilizer Report This report is based on the tonnage of fertilizer reported from licensed dealers that has been either distributed OR sold in Minnesota. Fertilizer can be reported as distributed or sold. Fertilizer sales does not equate to fertilizer applied. Fertilizer can be purchased one season and applied in another season. Fertilizer can be purchased in one county and applied in another county. Each registrant under section 18C.411 and each company licensed under section 18C.415 must file an annual tonnage report for the previous year ending June 30 with the Minnesota Department of Agriculture (MDA), on forms provided or approved by the MDA, stating the number of net tons of each brand or grade of fertilizer, soil amendment, or plant amendment distributed in Minnesota or the number of net tons and grade of each raw fertilizer material sold or distributed in Minnesota during the reporting period. (Minnesota Statute 18C.421) In accordance with the American with Disabilities Act, this information is available in alternative forms of communication upon request by calling TTY users can call the Minnesota Relay Service at 711 or The MDA is an equal opportunity employer and provider.
