1 Mrs. Wash Science Lesson Plans February th Grade -FORCES SHAPING EARTH (CHAPTER 10) Monday February 4 Purpose- I can chart the transformation of Magma to Lava Students will Create a Volcanic Mountain Foldable Students will label the inner parts if the Volcano Students will describe each part Assessment- Volcano Foldable Tuesday February 5 Purpose- I can witness the destructive effects of Volcanoes and the Aftermath. Students will watch Volcano eyewitness Video Students will write 5 interesting Facts about the Video. Assessment- Video-Notes Wednesday February 6 Purpose-I can plot death due to Famous Volcanic Eruptions Students will use a chart to create a line plot of deaths caused by Volcanic Eruptions Students will complete a vocabulary worksheet Word- Definition-Picture Assessment-Line Graph Thursday February 7 of volcanic activity and related plate boundaries Students will read background information (tectonic plates, Lithosphere etc.) Students will plot locations using colored pencils

I can classify as Convergent or Divergent. Students will classify as Divergent or Convergent Students will answer conclusion/discussion questions Thursday February 14 of volcanic activity and related plate boundaries Students will read background information (tectonic plates, Lithosphere etc.) Students will plot locations using colored pencils Students will sketch where possible plate boundaries may occur Friday February 15 of volcanic activity and related plate boundaries.
