9 Nuts and Bolts Which Enclosure? Check the Fixture Guide on the Product Page: Check the Enclosure data sheet Tim! There are no dumb questions! Projectors the max projector dimensions are shown in the enclosure data sheets. Check the Projector manual on line for dimensions, power and connector locations. Remember to allow for the length of the lens!!! Allow for connectors on sides or back. Customers often want to incorporate other equipment in the enclosure that s ok, but remember to allow space.

10 Digital Enclosure Control - 1 Maintains temperature range between Bottom Temp (0-10 C) Top Temp (30-45 C) Fan(s) change air every 2-3 seconds, so no heat buildup Isolates fixture/projector at Cutoff Temp (Top Temp C) When Lamp is OFF, runs Anti-Condensation Routine Balance heaters/fan activity at low level Always maintain Temp a few degrees above condensation point CONDENSATION IS THE KILLER! Waterproof DEC3 Control Panel Full control at the enclosure, or remotely, over RDM

IP65 requires NO dust ingress a sealed enclosure Tempest uses 10 micron dust filters Tempest moves a LOT of air Standard used is US NEMA 3R Outdoor Weatherproof standard/testing Water, Ice, Snow Ventilation permitted Some water ingress permitted, provided it drains harmlessly away Closest IP equivalent is IP54 This is OK Engineers will understand Go to For a full explanation for engineers

13 Why Not Air-Conditioning? Tempest used high-velocity forced air cooling Very effective Very simple Easy to control Condensation A/C systems can cool effectively, but: Impossible to eliminate condensation More moving parts, vibration Higher Cost Mineral deposits build up on glass and inside projector Projector life is limited Big customers (eg Disney) are switching from A/C to Tempest enclosures
