With 394 points, the Cardinal scored in the top-10 in all five championships they advanced to - eighth in women s cross country, third in men s cross country and women s soccer, and second in both women s volleyball and men s water polo. The Ducks of Oregon moved from fourth place into second with 323 points. In the most recent FBS football rankings Oregon finished ninth with 69 points. Oregon captured the men s cross country championship, placed second in the women s cross country championship and ninth in women s volleyball. Trailing Oregon by 19 points is Southern California with 304. Southern California moved up from its previous ninth place standing by placing second in the most recent FBS football scoring, earning 90 points. The Trojans also captured the men s water polo title, were ninth in women s soccer and 17 th in women s volleyball. North Carolina dropped from their previous second place standing to fourth place with 290 points. The Tar Heels finished 46 th in the FBS football scoring. Previously, North Carolina captured the women s soccer championship, finished second in men s soccer, ninth in women s field hockey and 17 th in women s volleyball. Tied for fifth place with 268 points each are Florida and Wake Forest. The Gators jumped from 20 th overall after claiming 100 points in FBS football. Florida also finished ninth in both women s soccer and women s volleyball and 17 th in women s cross country. The Demon Deacons of Wake Forest finished 26 th in the FBS football scoring, and previously finished second in women s field hockey, third in men s soccer and 17 th in women s soccer. All eight fall NCAA championships have been completed with the following institutions capturing titles: Washington (women s cross country); Oregon (men s cross country); Maryland (women s field hockey); North Carolina (women s soccer); Maryland (men s soccer); Southern California (men s water polo); Penn State (women s volleyball); Richmond (FCS Football) and Florida (FBS Football). The Learfield Sports Directors Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in up to 20 sports women s and 10 men s. The first Winter Division I standings will be released Thursday March 12, Please note, standings published midseason are unofficial. Official standings will be published upon the completion of the eight season. Complete standings and the scoring structure can be found on NACDA s Web site at Learfield Sports, a leader in the collegiate sports marketplace for almost four decades, manages the multimedia and sponsorship rights for nearly 50 collegiate institutions including Oklahoma, Penn State, North Carolina, Iowa, Missouri, Wisconsin, Alabama, Purdue, Indiana, Miami (Fla.) and Stanford, which has been awarded the Directors' Cup trophy 14 consecutive years. The Dallas-based company also manages corporate partner programs for the Big Ten Conference and the Western Athletic Conference and secures marketing partnerships for the Black Coaches & Administrators (BCA).
