1 !"D!$"$%&"!'()S!+, -..icial%3ra56ation%)ates%)eport &niversit>%?65get%-..ice BB%D6llE+ime%?eginners 'olg%,%"og% This report summarizes the data submitted to IPEDS with the Graduation Rates Survey. The cohort is as defined full-time, beginner, degreeseeking students who matriculated in either of the preceding summer sessions or in the fall of 1996, or students who began their coursework in high school and enrolled as traditional college students in the fall. The campus specific "Institutional Graduation Rates Summary" sheets attached subdivide this cohort by degree-seeking status at time of entry (baccalaureate or other degree) and provide figures on the number and percentage of students receiving degrees within 150% of program length. The graduation rates illustrated on these sheets ($%E%() represent the various ways that numbers can be used for comparison with other types of programs and institutions. The final graduation rate () aggregates all these subsets together into a figure that comports to previous rates and is used for external reporting. -verall%3ra56ation%)ates%i>%jamp6s%an5%johort BBZ BB?eganL )ecm5%deggll %?eganl )ecm5%deggll %change?o 5,704 3, % 5,766 3, % PGQ!" 1, % 2, % EPGR ($ % % GS FW % % ETG U % % ETG "V % % WGT S? % % WGT S( % % WG!&%total 10,545 5, % 10,950 5, % EPGS FW - IU students only *full-time, first-time, degree-seeking undergraduates; **within 150% of program length Jhart%%E%%-verall%3ra56ation%)ates%?>%(thnicit>%an5%Johort 60.0% 50.0% % 30.0% 20.0% 10.0% 0.0% frican mer.
