3 Offres de service & produits marchés visés New algorithms fast and accurate for modern TPS External radiotherapy, Brachytherapy, Radiopharmaceutical Therapy as an alternative to fast or accurate existing algorithms Ad-hoc modelling Robust and rapid Lack of precision for complex geometries Inadequate for modern requirements (MRI ) Monte-Carlo Statistical methods Robust and referent Slow calculation speed Inadequate for treatments requirement New proposals Fast MC What about MRI guided radiotherapy? Deterministic modelling Evaluation of performances in progress IS THERE A PLACE FOR A FAST AND ACCURATE ALGORITHM ABLE TO MEET THE CHANGING NEEDS?
4 Entropic moment methods The dose calculation is based on the resolution of the Linearized Boltzmann Transport Equation (LBTE) which requires discretization of all phase space (angle and energy) and physical space (position): 1keV Energy Space 1MeV The system of equations is closed by using the Boltzmann entropy maximization principle Resolution of the angular moments LBTE is solved on a reduced phase space Angle Attractive properties Distribution function: non negative Mathematical hyperbolicity: efficient numerical methods Continuity of moments equations: derivability for inverse problem resolution All particles treated - photons, positrons, electrons, primary, scattered or secondary LESS UNKNOWNS GREATER EFFICIENCY SHORTER COMPUTATIONAL TIME AND SMALLER MEMORY SPACE REQUIRED WHAT ABOUT ACCURACY?
