2 一, 引言 为建设 SLEGS 光束线提供参考和研制依据, 中科院上海应用物理研究所于 2005 年成立了以徐望研究员为组长的 SLEGS 小组, 开展 SLEGS 样机的实验工作 ; 在中科院知识创新工程方向性项目 ( 项目经费 300 万元 ) 中国科学院百人计划项目 上海应用物理研究所百人计划项目和上海市浦江人才计划项目的资助下, SLEGS 小组开始在本所现有的 100 MeV 高性能直线加速器上, 建立一个低能 X 射线站作为 SLEGS 的样机, 并利用它开展电子束与激光束碰撞的原理性实验研究 2

7 三, 实验及其结果 2008 年 5 月和 10 月, 我们共进行了两期激光康普顿散射的原理性实验, 即 SINAP I 和 SINAP II 两期实验所用的 Nd:YAG 激光器其功率分别为 10 MW 和 200 MW, 脉宽分别为 21 ns 和 8 ns 实验所用的电子束能量均为 108 MeV, 束团宽度为 2.5 ns SINAP I 和 SINAP II 的电子束流强分别为约 0.1 nc 和 0.01 nc 7

8 3.1 Synchronization 1) Considering a laser pulse has a good synchronization with an electron beam at interaction point las the time difference e- displayed in oscillograph is er169.2±1.2ns; beam 2)The time difference between laser and electron beams measured by oscillograph is 168.6±1.4ns. 3) Both of them a good agreement with each other. Start from Master-1 and end with LCS chamber, the time difference between laser and electron beams at LCS chamber is 5.3±1.2ns (peak to peak) Device Jitter (ns) Master <0.2 All cables <= MeV Linac (electron) 0.6 Nd:YAG laser 0.9 8

16 Three main improvements from SINAP I 1)Nd:YAG 激光器的升级及其光路调整 Laser type SINAP I Nd:YAG laser ( 光机所搭建 ) SINAP II Nd:YAG laser ( 镭宝光电 ) Peak power 15MW 200MW Pulse duration 21ns 8ns Focusing size < mm mm 2 2) 置于遥控小车上的探测器的位置作了在线的最佳确定 : 在上下和左右二维度上对 1cm 1cm 单元中探测器的的记数率和不饱和度进行了扫描测定, 确定了探测器的位置. 3) 激光和电子在相互作用点的时间扫描 ( 通过示波器观察, 时间间隔的扫描范围从 155ns 至 160ns) 16
