2 FORWARDWITHALIVINGSAVIOR Message from thepastor On t his Mond ay following Easter, I find m yself reflect ing on a num b er of t hing s. Easter Sund ay w as t he culm inat ion of a season of ant icip at ion. Many of us spend ad d it ional t im e read ing and reflect ing on t he scr ip t ure p assag es t hat lead up t o t he event s of Good Fr id ay t hroug h Easter. W it h t hat ad d it ional reflect ion and focus on t he t hing s of God, com es a p rep arat ion of sor t s for God t o have His w ay in us. It?s a g ood t hing w hen we p ull aw ay from t he d istract ions t hat com e wit h a b usy life, and g ive m ore t im e t o our Creat or. Given His desire t o connect wit h us in a relat ionship, t his p ause and refocus lend s it self t o helping t o develop fur t her in t his relat ionship. I p ray t hat t his p ast couple of weeks has b een just t hat for m any folks here at FBC. I also p ray t hat Easter Sund ay w as for m any a step t ow ard opening up som e sp ace t o connect wit h God. God seeks after us, t hroug h J esus, w ant ing t o b ecom e, not only our Savior, b ut our shep herd and Lord. He desires t o b e p resent wit h us d aily, helping us b ecom e m ore like J esus, as we g row in our w alk wit h Him. I p ray t hat t his Easter has b een a step in t hat d irect ion for m any of t hose in attend ance in our church and m any ot her s. W hile reflect ing t od ay, I?m also rem inded of how God b r ing s people t og et her in a church fam ily t o m ake it g reat. It?s alw ays t he people, w ho are w alking wit h J esus and seeking Him wit h t heir w hole hear t, t hat m ake a church g reat. People w ho ser ve, using t he g ift s and ab ilit ies God has g iven t o im p act t he com m unit y and w or ld we live in. People w ho invite t heir neig hb or s and fr iend s t o w or ship wit h t hem, b ecause t hey w ant t hem t o exper ience t he for g iveness, hope and new life t hat J esus b r ing s int o our lives w hen we tr ust Him. People w ho are excited ab out w hat God is d oing in t heir life, and can?t w ait t o share t hat wit h som eone else. I t horoug hly enjo y visit ing wit h new people in t he lob by or talking t o som eone w ho has b een a p ar t of t his fam ily for decades and looking for w ard to ser ving along side each and ever y per son. God is at w or k in t his place and t hroug h t his fam ily. The d ays ahead are excit ing, as we seek t o g lor ify Him in all t hat we are d oing. I p ray t hat you?re filled wit h His Spir it and ent husiasm, as we w alk aw ay from an em p t y t om b, and g row in our relat ionship wit h our Risen Lord and Savior. I p ray t hat in all our act ions and react ions, people will see t hat we have b een wit h J esus, and t hen t hey will b e d raw n t o t he Savior t hat we w alk wit h in t his jour ney of life. At this meeting we will be discussing and making decisions regarding some real estate the church received as a donation. This donation is designated for our Building Fund, which currently is for the purpose paying toward the remaining debt we incurred in the building of this facility. 5 Children's Ministry PERSEVERANCE This m ont h, we?re talking ab out per severance. Per severance is refusing t o g ive up w hen life g et s hard. Like it or not, life g et s hard som et im es. Do you ever wish you could just q uit w hen t hing s d on?t g o your w ay? Ever yb od y feels t hat w ay som et im es. But t hankfully God is t here t o help. God know s t hat w hen we refuse t o g ive up, we will see t he b enefit s of st icking wit h it. Outflow Sunday is going to be April 24th during the Sunday School hour just like normal! We will come together for worship and then be dismissed into the community to be the hands and feet of Jesus! Be preparing for whom you want to serve. Think of your neighbors, your co-workers, your kids?teachers, or even the annoying neighbor next door! We want to show the community that we are a church for the community instead of just a church in the community! So get ready for our one-day, church-wide, mission trip to the city of Pea Ridge!
