1 NCBLG Approved Continuing Education Activities June 20, 2018 This document lists activities that have been approved for Continuing Education (CE) credit by the CE Committee. Please keep in mind that this list does not include activities sponsored by NCBLG Pre- Approved Continuing Education Providers. The following entities have been added to the list of pre-approved providers: ABLPG Annual CE Conference (by Alabama Board of Licensure for Professional Geologists) (ABLPG) Association of State Floodplain Managers (ASFPM) Atlanta Geological Society (ATLGS) Geological Society of New Hampshire (GSNH) Geologists of Jackson Hole (GJH) Houston Geological Society (HGS) NC Association of Floodplain Managers (NCAFPM) Southern Appalachian Mineral Society (SAMS) Virginia Geologic Research Symposium (VGRS) See the full list of Pre-Approved Providers on the Board website. This list has been updated several times in recent months. All CE completed through pre-approved providers must be geological in nature. The activities listed in this document are sorted by course approval code, which is reflective of the order in which each activity was submitted for review. We recommend that you search the document (Control+F or Command+F) for a keyword if looking for a specific activity. Please be aware that the list is to be used as a tool for reporting completed CE and to reduce duplicate applications. While you may browse the list for activities that may be of interest to you, that is not its main purpose. It is the responsibility of each individual licensee to find, attend, and report continuing education as a condition of renewal. If interested in attending an activity found on the approved list, or an activity provided by a pre-approved provider, it is your responsibility to locate contact information. Please do not contact the Board office for assistance in registering for an activity. HAZWOPER Training The CE Committee and the Board have determined that up to 2 PDHs will be granted for the completion of the HAZWOPER Annual 8 Hour Refresher Course. Listed below are the providers that have been approved for CE Credit. If you have completed a HAZWOPER Refresher Course with another provider, please make application for CE approval.
