Basin Information ( repetition ) Sediment Age : (?) Eocene-Recent Thickness : approximately 7000m. Lithology : Pre-tertiary Basement (Granite/carbonate/Metasediment) Tertiary clastic Interbeded (Sandstone, Siltstone & Shale) Trap : Intensively Faulted -Tilted fault block - faulted anticline. Reservoir : Clastics - Fluvio-lacustrine and delta plain Sst. - Ø=10-30% in the productive zone ( Ø = 8-25% Idem. Advisor ) Source rocks : Lucustrine, fluvial floodplain and delta-plain facies (?) Eocene-Oligicene and Early Miocene organic rich shale Seal : Intraformational shale and fault seals 2

Enterprise Oil ( I & II ) Drilled 4 wells Challenges for the Basin ( Resource Assessment ) Resource assessment in The Khmer Basin has been done by Petroleum Section ( MIME ) in cooperation with Enterprise Oil in 1993 using FASPAM (?). The estimated recoverable reserve is around 3 TCF. Then Woodside got a Study Agreement from 1999 to 2002 and have done assessment in the area ( approx. 2.7 TCF ). Trap fill - factor that hold the highest risk when it comes to assessing the hydrocarbon potential Of the basin 3
