1 PETROLEUM ENGINEERING SUMMER SCHOOL INTER-UNIVERSITY CENTRE DUBROVNIK, CROATIA Interactive Seminar Workshop 39: Exploitation in Mature Oil Fields Short Courses: 1. Deep Offshore Challenges- From Exploration to Production (June, 8 th ) 2. Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) (June, 9-12 th ) WORKSHOP OVERVIEW DUBROVNIK JUNE 8 12, 2015 Inter-University Centre 4, Don Frana Bulića, Dubrovnik, Croatia
2 INTERACTIVE SEMINAR WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION The first Short Course will include the lecturing and follow up discussions on deep offshore challenges in exploration and production of hydrocarbons with the special focus on the offshore Adriatic. The task of the second Short Course is to explore how to improve EOR outcomes and the contemporary EOR monitoring processes (recovery factor vs. reservoir complexity index, etc.) Also the possibilities for mature field revitalization will be discussed. The scope of the courses is to give the comprehensive knowledge of new technologies and reservoir characterization in exploitation of remaining oil reserves in mature oil fields. The format of this 5-day interactive seminar-workshop provides morning and early afternoon sessions which include lectures and exchanging the experience (panel discussions). The official language of the PESS is English. LECTURERS I. Short Course: Deep Offshore Challenges- From Exploration to Production (June, 8 th ) 1.
