1 CURRICULUM VITAE Dr. Dumitru Stanica Personal and education Born: March 09, 1945 Graduated from the Institute of Oil, Gaze and Geology - Faculty of Geophysics, Bucharest, 1968 PhD. Geophysics (electromagnetism), University of Bucharest, 1987 Professional Association Member: European Geosciences Union (EGU), IAGA (Working group I.1.), IAGA+IAVCEI+IASPEI (WG-EMSEV), Management Committee of the COST Action 625, Geophysical Society of Romania, Society of Exploration Geophysicists,. Publication More than 110 papers and abstracts published in Romanian and international journals, in electromagnetism (EM), geomagnetism and EM precursory phenomena/parameters of earthquakes, lithosphere rheology - conductivity relationship, dynamical modeling of lithosphere evolution, natural and anthropic hazard assessment. Capabilities Elaboration and implementation of the electromagnetic and geoelectric methodologies used for: Shallow and deep structure investigation (mapping, inversion and modeling); Continuous monitoring of the specific phenomena/parameters related to the natural hazards (landslide, land collapse and seismicity).
