Intention: Development of homogeneous spatial raster with regard to inhabitants and household as well as to settlement types and areas of commerce and industry. Effect: Reliable official sociodemographical data for geomarketing analises and better possibilities for calibration of potential on lower structural levels.

14 Structure and availability The federal status of Germany and the decentralization of administration cause different problems with cadastre and official data providers: cadastre data with geomarketing aspects (like age of buildings, area of real property, type and use of real property ) are in responsibility of the 16 federal cadastre authorities. These authorities are subdivided into different regional departments (e.g. North Rhine- Westphalia 53 departments) and as a result of this: - Not every geomarketing cadastre data exist nationwide even federal statewide - Not every cadastre data is up to date in equal measure With regard to official data from statistical departments of german cities there are conflicts concerning: - Identical variables - Identical datafile formats - Identical timestamps
