Specifically, I m interested in the association between environmental conditions, species life history attributes (in terms of distribution ranges and climatic niche) and evolutionary patterns using multi-species approaches, looking at various spatial (from local to global) and temporal scales (the last 21 kyrs - from the LGM to the present). For this, my work has an emphasis on the spatially explicit analysis of present and past distribution patterns using multiproxy approaches (integrating current distribution, plant and animal macrofossil, genetic and pollen data). I m also interested in the effects of short-term climatic fluctuations (e.g., Little Ice
3 Age, Holocene Climate Optimum, Younger Dryas) and climatically stable areas in shaping both total species richness and single species distribution patterns. Computing abilities Platforms: Windows 199x, 2000, XP, Vista, 7 Statistical and GIS softwares: R (frequently used packages: raster, sp, rgeos, mgcv, biomod2, vegan, dismo) ArcView 3.2 Quantum GIS (Valmiera and previous versions) Maxent Fragstat 4.x EcoSim PAST Graphics softwares: Adobe Illustrator CS6 Responsibilities Referee: International Journal of Applied Earth Observation & Geoinformation, Ecological Applications, Herpetological Journal, Journal of Biogeography, Museologia Scientifica Publications F.
