The mean (3.85) and median (3.31) impact factor (IF) of my publications are considerably higher than the journals in the relevant ISI disciplines of Zoology (mean 1.29, median 1.04, 163 journals), Biodiversity and Conservation (mean 1.78, median 1.09, 53 journals), Ecology (mean 2.55, median 1.90, 153 journals) and Evolutionary Biology (mean 3.36, median 2.50, 48 journals). Importantly, to place my work in context, 100% of my publications are in journals in the top quartile of their discipline. 1.
