Identify and describe the function of the following organelles: cell membrane, nucleus, cytoplasm, vacuole, mitochondria, chromosomes, chloroplasts, cell wall. 2. Recognize that an object at rest will remain at rest, and an object moving in a straight line at a steady speed will continue to move in a straight line at a steady speed unless a net (unbalanced) force acts on it. b. Explain that an object s acceleration depends on the size and direction of the force acting on it and on the mass of the object. c. Recognize that for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. 2. Recognize that friction is a force that acts to slow or stop the motion of E.3 objects. 3.
