3 Certification/Training Program Organized The Department of Commerce has organized training Program on Photo Graphic Design during 2 nd 6 th May The resource person for this programme was Dr. M. Anbalagan, AP/ Commerce. This training program focused on basic idea of working with photoshop software. The Department of EEE has organized Training Program on Internet of Things And Smart Grid during 18 th - 20 th May, 2017.The resource person for this programme was Mr. Rajarajan Elango, Head- Research & Operations, Bluetronics, Bangalore. This training program gave the knowledge on the recent trends and research issues in the field of IoT and Smart Grid Guest Lecture Organized EEE Students have participated Training Program The Department of English Organized Three Days Guest Lecture on Effective Public Speaking; Personality Development ;Universal Appeal of Shakespeare; Creative Writing; Phonetics; Spoken English during 08 th 10 th May The Resource Person for this programme were Sri Devi, JCI Trainer; Mr. Ashok Kumar, JCI Trainer;Dr.Vivekaandhan, HoD/ Kamaraj College of Engineering; Dr. A. Maria Sebastian, AP/ Tamil, VIT University; Dr. A. Arputha Pragasam, Prof.& Head/ Dept. of English, St. Michael Engineering and Technology. Dr. Vivekaanandha Head/Department of English- Kamaraj College of Engineering and Technology, Viruthunagar presided over the function; On day 2(09/05/2017) Morning Session and gave an inspirational lecture on Universal Appeal of Shakespeare. The afternoon Session was chaired by Dr. A. Maria Sebastian Asst. Prof of Tamil VIT University, Vellore. He enlightened the students on Creative Writing (Padaipizhakiyam).On the third day, Dr. A. ArputhaPragasam Prof.& Head/ Dept. of English -St.Michael Engineering and Technology, Sivagangai spoke on Phonetics & Spoken English. Totally 87 students registered their names to attend the guest lecture. 3

4 Faculty Development Program Organized The Department of Chemical Engineering has organized Faculty Development Program on Application of Chemical Engineering Principles in Biotechnology during 8 th 14 th May The resource persons for this programme were Dr. R. Saravanathamizhan, Anna University,Chennai; Dr. C.N. Pratheeba, Anna University, Chennai ; Dr. S. Renganathan, Anna University, Chennai ; Dr. G. Arthanareeswaran, NIT, Trichy. This Programme will help to accelerate the R&D activities to develop biological products through chemical engineering fundamentals. Guest Lecture/ Seminar/ Workshop/ Conference/ FDP/ Symposium/ Training Program Attended by Faculty Members Mr. P. Manikandan and Mr.Jenyfal Samson have participated in the Certification/Training Program on Train the Trainer during 2 nd 6 th May at Tessolve Semiconductor Services Pvt. Ltd. Bangalore. This Program will helpful to train the students about Semiconductor testing and industry needs of VLSI Testing engineers. Mr. S. Muthuvel, Asso. Prof/ Mechanical has participated in the course Solar Energy Technologies during 8th May th May 2017 at Global Initiative of Academic Networks, Tiruchirappalli. Dr. P. Vidhya Saraswathi, AP/ CSE has successfully presented a paper enitled A Novel Stream Cipher using Pseudo Random Binary Sequence Generator for Medical Image Encryption in the International Conference on Trends in Electronics and Informatics ICEI 2017 during 11th 12th May 2017 at SCAD Engineering College, Tirunelveli. Ram Kumar Pandian, AP/ Biotech has participated in the two days hands on training Workshop on Cell Cycle Analysis and Apoptosis Assay organized by Deaprtment of Biotechnology Bhupat and Jyoti Mehta School of Biosciences, Institute of Technology Madras, Chennai in association with BD Biosciences, India from 25 th 26 th May Faculty as a Resource Person Dr. S.
