Cryell, 3417 Pine Tree Dr., Klamath Falls, OR 97603, and may nt be reprduced withut the express written permissin f the cpyright hlders. Permissin has been granted frm the cpyright hlders t the OSU Extensin Service t reprduce these lessn plans fr the exclusive use f thse vlunteer 4-H Leaders and yuth members participating in the Oregn 4-H Dg Prject.

3 Nvice Obedience Training Nvice is pen t all 4-H members wh have nt advanced t Graduate Nvice with the dg each member has been shwing. Members shuld nt advance t Nvice until they and their dgs are cmpetent in Pre-Nvice. Prir t attempting Nvice exercises, it's a gd idea t review Pre-Nvice exercises and training terms. The exercises fr Nvice are basically the same as Pre-Nvice except that the Recall, Stand fr Examinatin, Lng Sit, Lng Dwn, and a prtin f the Heeling are dne ff-lead. First, practice all steps f each exercise n-lead and critically evaluate the dg's perfrmance. When the exercise is mastered, practice the exercise ff-lead. If the dg makes a mistake ff-lead, attach the lead, praise the dg, and d the exercise r part f the exercise where the mistake ccurred several times with an autmatic crrectin. Then remve the lead, praise the dg, and repeat the exercise ff-lead. The dg becmes steady and reliable as the trainer patiently alternates between n- and ff-lead wrk. Training shuld be fun fr yu and the dg. Praise enthusiastically n all mving exercises, and never hesitate t break an exercise and play with the dg. Evaluate the team perfrmance, and keep a mental picture f the perfect perfrmance and the gals. The dg shuld be attentive and wrk with desire, while respnding eagerly and immediately t the cmmands. It's imprtant that yu be a fun, fair, patient trainer; critical f perfrmance, yet generus with praise. Alternate exercises, and use a smth but unpredictable heeling pattern. Occasinally, break an exercise with "OK," push the dg away, and play, thrw a ball, r give fd as a reward. Dgs learn thrugh repetitin. Study the lessn plans, knw the steps f each exercise, and train regularly! Nvice Training Equipment Training cllar: Cllar crrectins, used during training, require quick, cmplete clsure f the training cllar and immediate release. A clse-link chain cllar, n mre than 2 r 3 inches larger than the dg's neck, serves well fr training. Make sure the cllar is n crrectly, s it releases immediately. Slip the chain thrugh itself, make a "P" with the cllar, stand in frnt f the dg, and slip the cllar ver the dg's head. Remve the training cllar after training, and put a plain buckle r snapn cllar with identificatin n the dg. <^ r^vt-y Check-Line: Additinal training equipment fr Nvice Trainers includes a strng, thin, 15-ft, lightweight nyln crd with a small swivel snap n ne end and a lped handle tied in the ther. Trainers cmmnly refer t this as a "check-line." The check-line is used t check the dg's perfrmance befre beginning ff-lead wrk. 4 Nvice Exercise Perfrmance and Scring AKC Obedience Regulatins All exercises are perfrmed and scred as utlined in the AKC Obedience Regulatins. The fllwing Nvice Exercise Perfrmance and Scring is cntained in the AKC Obedience Publicatin. Since there are ccasinal AKC rule changes, yu'll find it extremely helpful t rder a free cpy f the AKC Obedience Regulatins directly frm the American Kennel Club, 51 Madisn Avenue, New Yrk, New Yrk Heel On-Leash The principal feature f this exercise is the ability f the dg and handler t wrk as a team. Orders fr the exercise are: "Frward" "Abut turn" "Halt" "Slw" "Right turn" "Nrmal" "Left turn" "Fast" "Fast" signifies that the handler must run, with handler and dg mving frward at nticeably accelerated speed. In executing the Abut turn, the handler will always d a Right Abut turn. Orders fr "Halts" and "Turns" will be given nly when the handler is mving at a "Nrmal" speed. The rders may be given in any sequence and may be repeated as necessary, but the Judge shall attempt t standardize the heeling pattern fr all dgs in any class. The leash may be held in either hand r in bth hands, prviding the hands are in a natural psitin. Hwever, any tightening r jerking f the leash r any act, signal, r cmmand which in the Judge's pinin gives the dg assistance shall be penahzed. The handler shall enter the ring with her dg n a lse leash and stand with the dg sitting in the Heel psitin. The Judge shall ask if the handler is ready befre giving the rder, "Frward." The handler may give a cmmand r signal t Heel, and shall walk briskly and in a natural manner with her dg n a lse leash. The dg shall walk clse t the left side f the handler withut swinging wide, lagging, frging, r crwding. Whether heeling r sitting, the dg must nt interfere with the handler's freedm f mtin at any time. At each rder t Halt, the handler will stp and her dg shall sit straight and prmptly in the Heel psitin withut cmmand r signal, and shall nt mve until the handler again mves frward n rder frm the Judge. It is permissible after each Halt, befre mving again, fr the handler t give a cmmand r signal t Heel. The Judge shall say "Exercise finished" after this prtin f the exercise. Figure 8 Befre starting the Figure 8, the Judge shall ask if the handler is ready. The Figure 8 signifies that n specific rders frm the Judge t Frward and Halt, the handler and dg, frm a starting psitin abut equidistant frm the tw Stewards and facing the Judge, shall walk briskly twice cmpletely arund and between the tw Stewards, wh shall stand 8 feet apart. The Figure 8 in the Nvice classes shall be dne n leash. The handler may chse t g in either directin. There shall be n Abut turn r Fast r Slw in the Figure 8, but the Judge must rder at least ne Halt during and anther Halt at the end f this prtin f the exercise. Heel n Leash & Figure 8, Scring If a dg is unmanageable, r if its handler cnstantly cntrls its perfrmance by tugging n the leash r adapts pace t that f the dg, the dg must be scred zer. Substantial deductins shall be made fr additinal cmmands r signals t Heel and fr failure f dg r handler t nticeably accelerate speed frward fr the Fast and nticeably decelerate speed frward fr the Slw. Substantial r minr deductins shall be made fr such things as lagging, heeling wide, frging, crwding, pr sits, handler failing t walk at a brisk pace, ccasinal guidance with leash, and ther imperfectins in heeling. In scring this exercise, the Judge shall accmpany the handler at a discreet distance s that he r she can bserve any signals r cmmands given by the handler t the dg. The Judge must d s withut interfering with either dg r handler. Stand fr Examinatin The principal features f this exercise are that the dg stand in psitin befre and during the examinatin, and that the dg display neither shyness nr resentment.

5 Orders are "Stand yur dg and leave when yu are ready," "Back t yur dg," and "Exercise finished." There will be n further cmmand frm the Judge t the handler t leave the dg. On Judge's rder, the handler shall remve the leash and give it t a Steward wh shall place it n the Judge's table r ther designated place. The handler will take his dg t the place indicated by the Judge, and n Judge's rder, the handler will stand and/r pse his dg ff leash by the methd f his chice, taking any reasnable time if he chses t pse the dg as in the shw ring. When he is ready, the handler will stand with the dg in the heel psitin and give his cmmand and/ r signal t the dg t Stay, walk frward abut 6 feet in frnt f the dg, turn arund, and stand facing the dg. The Judge shall apprach the dg frm the frnt and shall tuch nly the dg's head, bdy, and hindquarters, using the fingers and palm f ne hand nly. The Judge then shall rder, "Back t yur dg," whereupn the handler shall walk arund behind his dg and return t the Heel psitin. The dg must remain standing until after the Judge has said "Exercise finished." Stand fr Examinatin, Scring The scring f this exercise will nt start until the handler has given the cmmand and/r signal t Stay, except fr such things as rugh treatment f the dg by its handler r active resistance by the dg t its handler's attempts t make it stand. Either f these shall be penalized substantially. A dg shall be scred zer if it displays shyness r resentment, grwls r snaps at any time, sits r lies dwn befre r during the examinatin, r mves away frm the place where it was left either befre r during the examinatin. Minr r substantial deductins, depending n the circumstance, shall be made fr a dg that mves its feet at any time r sits r mves away after the examinatin has been cmpleted. Heel Free, Perfrmance and Scring This exercise shall be executed in the same manner as Heel n Leash and Figure 8, except that the dg shall be ff-leash and that there shall be n Figure 8. Orders and scring shall be the same als. Recall The principal features f this exercise are that the dg stay where left until called by its handler, and that the dg respnd prmptly t the handler's cmmand t signal t "Cme." Orders are "Leave yur dg," "Call yur dg," and "Finish." On rder frm the Judge, the handler may give cmmand and/r signal t the dg t stay in the Sit psitin while the handler walks frward abut 35 feet t the ther end f the ring, where she shall turn and stand in a natural manner facing her dg. On Judge's rder r signal, the handler will give cmmand r signal fr the dg t Cme. The dg must cme directly in at a brisk trt r gallp and sit straight, centered immediately in frnt f the handler's feet, clse enugh that the handler culd readily tuch its head withut mving either ft r having t stretch frward. The dg must nt tuch the handler r sit between her feet. On Judge's rder, the handler will give cmmand r signal t Finish and the dg must g smartly t the Heel psitin and Sit. The manner in which the dg finishes shall be ptinal with the handler prvided that it is prmpt and that the dg Sit straight at Heel. Recall, Scring A dg must receive a scre f zer fr the fllwing: nt Staying withut additinal cmmand r signal, failure t Cme n the first cmmand r signal, mving frm the place where left befre being called r signaled, nt sitting clse enugh s that the handler culd readily tuch its head withut stretching r mving either ft. Substantial deductins shall be made fr a slw respnse t the Cme, varying with the extent f the slwness; failure f the dg t cme at a brisk trt r gallp; fr the dg's standing r lying dwn instead f waiting in the Sit psitin; fr failure t Sit in Frnt; failure t Finish r Sit at Heel; r fr extra cmmand r signal t Sit r Finish. Minr t substantial deductins shall be made, depending n the specific circumstances in each case, fr failure t cme directly int the handler. Minr deductins shall be made fr slw r pr Sits r Finishes which are nt prmpt r smart, fr tuching the handler n cming in r while finishing, and fr sitting between the handler's feet. G

6 Grup Exercises The principal feature f these exercises is that the dg remain in the Sitting r Dwn psitin, whichever is required by the particular exercise. Orders are "Sit yur dgs" r "Dwn yur dgs," "Leave yur dgs," and "Back t yur dgs." All the cmpeting dgs in the class take these exercises tgether, except that if there are 12 r mre dgs they shall, at the Judge's ptin, be judged in grups f nt less than 6 nr mre than 12 dgs. When the same Judge des mre than ne Nvice class, the classes may be cmbined prvided there are nt mre than 12 dgs cmpeting in the cmbined classes. The Judge shall divide his r her class int apprximately equal sectins. The Grup exercises shall be judged after each sectin. The dgs that are in the ring shall be lined up in catalg rder alng ne f the fur sides f the ring. Handler's armbands, weighted with leashes r ther articles if necessary, shall be placed behind the dgs. Fr the Lng Sit the handlers shall, n rder frm the Judge, cmmand and/r signal their dgs t Sit if they are nt already sitting. On further rder frm the Judge t leave their dgs, the handlers shall give a cmmand and/r signal t Stay and immediately leave their dgs. The handlers will g t the ppsite side f the ring, turn, and stand facing their respective dgs. If a dg gets up and starts t ram r fllws its handler, r if a dg mves s as t interfere with anther dg, the Judge shall prmptly instruct the handler r ne f the Stewards t take the dg ut f the ring r t keep it away frm the ther dgs. After 1 minute frm the time he r she has rdered the handlers t leave their dgs, the Judge will give the rder t return, whereupn the handlers must prmptly g back t their dgs, each walking arund and in back f his r her wn dg t the Heel psitin. The dgs must nt mve frm the Sitting psitin until after the Judge has said, "Exercise finished." The Judge shall nt give the rder "Exercise finished" until the handlers have returned t the Heel psitin. Befre starting the Lng Dwn, the Judge shall ask if the handlers are ready. The Lng Dwn is dne in the same manner as the Lng Sit, except that instead f sitting their dgs the handlers shall, n rder frm the Judge, dwn their dgs t a psitin facing the ppsite side f the ring withut tuching either the dgs r their cllars; and except further that the Judge will rder the handlers t return after 3 minutes. The dgs must nt mve frm the Dwn psitin until after the Judge has said, "Exercise finished." The dgs shall nt be required t sit at the end f the Dwn exercise. Grup Exercises, Scring During these exercises, the Judge shall stand in such psitin that all the dgs are in his r her line f visin, and where he r she can see all the handlers in the ring withut having t turn arund. Scring f the exercises will nt start until after the Judge has rdered the handlers t leave their dgs, except fr such things as rugh treatment f a dg by its handler r resistance by a dg t its handler's attempts t make it Sit r lie Dwn. These shall be penalized substantially; in extreme cases, the dg may be excused. A handler whse dg assumes a psitin in such a manner that it culd interfere with an adjacent cmpeting dg shall be required t repsitin his dg and shall be substantially penalized als; in extreme cases, the dg may be excused. A scre f zer is required fr the fllwing: the dg's mving at any time, during either exercise, a substantial distance away frm the place where it was left; r ging ver t any ther dg; r staying n the spt where it was left but nt remaining in whichever psitin is required by the particular exercise until the handler has returned t the Heel psitin; r repeatedly barking r whining. A substantial deductin shall be made fr a dg that mves even a minr distance away frm the place where it was left, r that barks r whines nly nce r twice, r that changes its psitin after the handler has returned t the heel psitin and befre the Judge has given the rder "Exercise finished." Depending n the circumstance, a substantial r minr deductin shall be made fr tuching the dg r its cllar in getting the dg int the Dwn psitin. The Judge shall nt give the rder "Exercise finished" until the handlers have returned t the Heel psitin.

Heeling Lead Hld: See Training Terms, Pre-Nvice sectin. Use prper lead hld! Attentin: Develp and imprve attentin by alternating exercises. Be quick yet smth n all actins. Make the exercises fun; praise enthusiastically t keep dg excited. Crrectins: All crrectins are a 4- t 6-inch pp and quick release that teach the dg t mve himself. They always are made in the directin the trainer wants the dg t mve and always are accmpanied by praise. Make heeling a game; crrect nly if needed. Exercise Ending: Smetimes, after exercise, cntinue nrmal heeling; smetimes break int a run, pp frward, praise; smetimes d a quick Flip Finish 12 Rund Finish 13 Sit-Stay 13 Dwn-Stay 14 stp, dg sits in heel psitin; smetimes d a series f exercises; smetimes give "OK" release and play with dg. Off-Lead: When dg is reliable, practice all exercises ff-lead. At first mistake, attach lead, praise, and repeat exercise with autmatic crrectin. Remve lead, praise, and repeat ff-lead. 1. Starts: Dg sitting in heel psitin, watching trainer. Simultaneusly cmmand "Heel," pp frward, step ff with left ft, praise. 2. Change f Pace: While heehng, simultaneusly change t slw pace, pp back, praise. Change back t nrmal pace with pp frward and praise. Simultaneusly change t fast pace, pp frward, praise. Change back t nrmal pace with pp back and praise. 3. Statinary Right-Abut-T\irn: Dg sitting in heel psitin, extremely slack lead. Cmmand "Heel," d tight 180-degree Right-Abut-Face, pp after turn, praise. 4. Statinary Left-"U"-T\irn: Dg sitting in heel psitin, cmmand "Heel," d tight 180-degree Left-Abut-Face, pp behind yur bdy, praise, quickly bring knees up t surprise dg JAnne Carsn and Lis R. Cryell.

8 Heeling Exercises cntinued (small dg, slide feet), pp frward cming ut f turn, praise. 5. Statinary Right Turn: Dg sitting in heel psitin, cmmand "Heel," "pivt" n heel f right ft turning 90 degrees, pp frward, praise. 6. Statinary Left T\im: Dg sitting in heel psitin, cmmand "Heel," pivt n heel f left ft turning 90 degrees, pp behind yur bdy, praise, quickly bring right knee up t surprise dg (small dg, slide ft), pp frward, praise. 7. Mving Right-Abut-'Rim: While heeling, d tight 180-degree Right-Abut-Face, keeping feet clse tgether, pp after turn, praise. T imprve Mving Right-Abut-Tum, ccasinally practice 270-degree turns; ccasinally pp during turn. 8. Off-Lead Heeling Befre Beginning: Practice heeung exercises in different lcatins and arund distractins, using VjO^ * F Heeling Test as in Pre- kay^ Nvice. Dg, with cmplete attentin n trainer, shuld maintain heel psitin.w with n crrectins NY^ V needed. When this ^Pjwa gal is met, begin ^ ff-lead wrk. Off-Lead Heeling: Dg sitting in heel psitin, cmmand "Watch Me," remve lead. Gather up the lead, hld in right hand with thumb n snap. Cmmand "Heel," step frward cnfidently n left ft, talking enthusiastically t dg. Practice heeung exercises; be critical f dg's perfrmance. First mistake, give "OK" release, praise, attach lead, praise; repeat prtin f exercise where mistake ccurred several times with an autmatic crrectin. Remve lead, praise, repeat ff-lead. Dn't expect ff-lead heeung t be perfected vernight; it is a lng prcess f alternating between n- and ff-lead wrk. Set yur standards high; be patient but critical f the dg's ff-lead perfrmance. Make sure the instant a mistake ccurs, the dg is released, the lead immediately attached, and the prtin f the exercise where the mistake ccurred repeated several times n-lead with an autmatic crrectin. Prblems arise when the dg is allwed t make errrs ff-lead and the trainer, instead f attaching the lead and making crrectins, makes excuses fr the dg's perfrmance. Heeling shuld be fun; strive t mtivate the dg. Cntinue t praise enthusiastically during the heeling exercise; ccasinally eliminate praise fr shrt perids. Classrm Off-Lead Heeling: Dg n-lead, sitting in heel psitin; attach a strng, extremely lightweight nyln crd t dg's cllar. Secure the ther end t yur left side s the crd hangs lsely frm yur side t the dg's cllar but des nt tuch the grund. (The check-line can be

9 adapted easily; put the excess line in yur pcket.) With crd attached, remve lead, practice ff-lead heeling as directed abve. The crd is used fr added cntrl and fr yur dg's prtectin in a classrm situatin r when training in a busy area, but nt t make crrectins. A surprise crrectin may be given with the crd, but if the mistake cntinues, give an "OK" release, praise, attach lead (dn't remve crd), praise; repeat prtin f exercise where mistake ccurred several times with an autmatic crrectin. With crd still attached, remve lead, praise, repeat ff-lead. Gal: Dg perfrms all heeling exercises ff-lead. Heel Psitin Exercises Befre Beginning: Dg must heel well and knw Statinary Right and Left Turns. Psitining Exercises: Fun exercises t teach the dg hw t maneuver t heel psitin. Keep dg attentive by quickly changing exercises, praising enthusiastically, and crrecting with an easy 4- t 6-inch pp and release in the directin dg shuld mve. When first teaching, use extra cmmands and praise fr any respnse. Crrect nly if needed! Pivts: When first teaching, always pivt 90 degrees. As training prgresses, vary degree f pivt; smetimes pivt 180 degrees, smetimes 360 degrees. Reinfrce pivts with statinary right and left turns. Alternate turns and pivts. Off-Lead: When dg is reliable, practice all exercises ff-lead. At first mistake, attach lead, praise, and repeat exercise with autmatic crrectin. Remve lead, praise, repeat ff-lead. 1. Pivt Right: Dg sitting in heel psitin, cmmand "Heel," pivt n heel f right ft turning in place, pp frward, praise; take half step frward, pp frward, praise; dg sits in heel psitin. Gradually eliminate half step frward. Dg shuld pivt with trainer. 2. Pivt Left: Dg sitting in heel psitin, cmmand "Heel," pivt n heel f left ft turning in place, pp behind yur bdy, praise, quickly bring right knee up t surprise dg (small dg, slide ft), take half step frward, pp frward, praise; dg sits in heel psitin. Gradually eliminate knee and lead crrectins. Dg shuld pivt with trainer. 3. Get-It-Up: Dg sitting in heel psitin, cmmand "Get-It-Up" as yu take half step frward n left ft, pp frward, praise fr any respnse. Dg shuld hp frward in heel psitin. 4. Get-It-Back: Dg sitting in heel psitin, cllar rings behind dg's head, left hand n lead clse t cllar. Cmmand "Get-It-Back" as yu take half step back n left ft, pp back, praise fr any respnse. Dg shuld hp straight back in heel psitin. 5. Get-It-Over: Dg sitting in heel psitin, cmmand "Get-It-Over" as yu take half step t the right, pp behind yur bdy, praise, take half step frward t straighten dg ut, pp frward, praise. Gradually eliminate half step frward. Dg shuld hp ver in heel psitin. Sit Fr Examinatin 1. Dg Examined by Trainer: Dg sitting in heel psitin; put right hand n lead clse t cllar. Left hand examines dg's ears, eyes, muth, back and paws. Cmmand "N" and pp straight up fr any mvement r lack f attentin. After examinatin, give "OK" release, mve frm sit, praise. 2. Dg Examined by Others: Dg sitting in heel psitin, cmmand "Stay," pivt directly in frnt f dg. Bth hands n lead, clse tgether (n slack in lead, but n tensin either), cmmand "Watch Me." Persn appraches and tuches dg's head and back. Be ready t cmmand "N" and pp straight up fr any mvement r lack f attentin. After examinatin, pivt back t heel psitin, give "OK" release, mve frm sit, praise. Nte: The Sit Fr Examinatin is the fundatin exercise fr the Stand Fr Examinatin. Dg must be reliable befre prgressing. JAnne Carsn and Lis R. Cryell.

10 Stand Fr Examinatin Secnd Stand-Stay At Side: Dg sitting in heel psitin; hld lead clse t cllar with right hand. Put left hand, palm up, in frnt f dg's right rear leg. Cmmand "Stand" as right hand gently pulls straight frward and left hand lifts straight up under dg's tummy. Dg stands, praise. Cmmand "Stay," remain at dg's side; mve left hand ver dg's back, sides, and shulders. If dg starts t sit, cmmand "N Stand" as yu gently restrain dg. Abslutely n lead crrectin, use vice cntrl nly! After 10 secnds, give "OK" release, mve frm stand, praise Secnd Stand-Stay Directly in Frnt: Stand dg as in Step One, praise, place dg's feet in cmfrtable psitin. Cmmand "Stay" using vice and signal, step ut n right ft, pivt directly in frnt f dg. Cmmand "Watch Me" as yu lift up under dg's chin. Pivt back t heel psitin, give "OK" release, praise. Gradually increase time in frnt t 30 secnds. If dg starts t sit r mve befre released, cmmand "N Stand" as yu gently repsitin dg Secnd Stand End f Lead: Stand dg as in Stand fr Examinatin Step One. Cmmand "Stay" using vice and signal, walk straight away t end f lead, turn t the left t face dg. After 30 secnds, return t heel psitin by circling arund dg t yur right. While circling, hld slack with left hand, keeping lead n dg's right side. Pause in heel psitin, give "OK" release, praise. If dg starts t sit r mve befre released, cmmand "N Stand" as yu gently repsitin dg; review Steps One and Tw. 4. Frmal Stand fr Examinatin: Stand dg as in Stand fr Examinatin Step One. Cmmand "Stay" using vice and signal. Walk straight away t end f lead; turn t the left t face dg. Have smene apprach and tuch dg's head and back. After examinatin, return t heel psitin by circling arund dg t yur right. While circhng, hld slack with left hand, keeping lead n dg's right side. Pause in heel psitin, give "OK" release, praise. If dg resists examinatin, immediately return t heel psitin, give JAnne Carsn and Lis R. Cryell. "OK" release; then, practice Sit fr Examinatin, page 7, with autmatic crrectin. When dg reliably perfrms Sit fr Examinatin, repeat Stand fr Examinatin. When dg accepts examinatin n-lead, remve lead, practice ff-lead. Gal: Dg maintains psitin until released, watches trainer, accepts examinatin. Recall Exercises Step #1 Infrmal Cmefre Dg Cmes While Heeling: While heeling with dg in perfect heel psitin, say dg's name, simultaneusly cmmand "Cme," pp twards yu, praise, trt directly backward r turn sideways and run away praising. Dg is t yu, thrw arms ut, give "OK" release, praise. If dgs runs past yu, pivt t face dg, pp twards yu, praise, mve backward praising. After several weeks, when dg pivts twards yu n "Cme" cmmand, ccasinally eliminate crrectin. Gal: While heeling, dg respnds quickly t "Cme" cmmand; runs t catch trainer. Step #2 Randm RecaZZ Dg Cmes While Distracted: Assume Cntrlled Walking Lead Hld (see Cntrlled Walking Steps One and Tw, Pre-Nvice sectin). Randm situatins, when dg is distracted, turn t face dg; say dg's name, cmmand "Cme" as yu pp twards yu, praise, briskly mve away praising. Dg is t yu, thrw arms ut, give "OK" release, praise, repeat. If dg runs past yu, pivt t face dg, pp twards yu, praise, mve backward praising. After several weeks, when dg pivts twards yu n "Cme" cmmand, ccasinally eliminate autmatic crrectin.
