2 stay at the Eastern and Oriental Hotel Follow where she sampled their stylecabinrunway incredible afternoon tea, a moment of pure selfindulgence. Daniela s Travel-in- Style Diary Tea in Penang I had the most scrumptious tea ever at the E&O hotel in George Town, Penang. I love afternoon tea sets, they are my absolute favorites, brightening up a slowpaced afternoon with a simple fragrant cup of tea. I spent an amazing afternoon in the E&O hotel s elegant setting with its candlelit tables, starched linens, silver service, and gracious, attentive staff which added a touch of magic to an already outstanding experience. The tea began 2/7

3 with mini savory croissants, salmon and chicken rolls, then went on to include mini cheesecakes, brownies, panna cotta, macaroons and of course the musthave moreish scones. I absolutely loved the homemade strawberry jam spread on the warm scones (a perfect balance between sweetness and fruitiness). I washed them all down with refreshing Moroccan Mint tea. 5 Head to Penang Hill for a panoramic view of the grandest colonial mansions, then take a 30-minute hike around the botanic gardens.
