Currently listed organizations will be sent a copy of their previous program description and new organizations will be sent a description template to edit for inclusion in the Advisory List. NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS Please list the actual number of students for each type of program listed below including only students of programs for which compliance audits will be submitted as indicated on page 1. For programs that take place during Spring 2017, give your best projections. The numbers you list here must match the numbers you report on the Placement forms found in the Appendix. Once you have filled out those forms, please cross-check those numbers with the numbers you list here to ensure consistency in numbers reported. The burden is on the applicant to prove by the greater weight of evidence to the Council that it is in compliance with the standards published by the Council; b. The Council reserves the right to make additional inquiries and request additional materials during the review process, to which the applicant is expected to respond in a timely fashion; c. The decision by the Council is reviewable only in accordance with the By-laws; d. The applicant is free to review its evaluation file at the offices of the Council at any time during the evaluation process and may direct inquiries to the CSIET Board of Directors. The applicant agrees that this right of review and right to inquire gives the applicant full and adequate notice of the issues of concern to the Council in regard to its application. Reviewers may make notes/memoranda based upon their review of an applicant s file and/or based on their deliberations. These notes and/or memoranda are deemed to be confidential and the applicant does hereby waive under any and all circumstances any right to review such notes/memoranda. e. All materials and documents provided to the Council by an applicant shall be maintained confidentially in the Council s office. Each applicant acknowledges that the file contents of every other applicant is confidential and proprietary and it has no right to review the file contents of other applicants and does hereby expressly waive any such right under any and all circumstances. f. Requests for information about organizations that have applied for but have not been accepted for listing, will be responded to by divulging the content of the letter denying listing and such other relevant information as is in the possession of the Council. 2

Any applicant having the same or similar names, using the same or similar logos to that of an affiliate organization (regardless of whether the logo is used or not), or indicating a relationship with another organization, will have a disclaimer printed at the beginning of the program information in the Advisory List, as follows: NOTE: [ORGANIZATION 1] and [ORGANIZATION 2] are separate organizations. [ORGANIZATION 1] has been evaluated by CSIET, and its listing in the Advisory List should not be construed to suggest or include listing of [ORGANIZATION 2] which has not been evaluated. h. The applicant acknowledges that, if it is accepted for listing, its listing may be provisional or conditional as more fully set forth on the memorandum of Application Procedure, of which the applicant acknowledges receipt. i. When the evaluation process is completed and the advisory listing prepared for the current year, the specific listing status for each organization (accepted for full listing, provisional listing or conditional listing) will be published. j. The governing body and/or authorization of the applicant has reviewed the standards which have been adopted by the Council. These standards are accepted by the applicant as guidelines with which its programs will comply. k. The applicant expressly agrees that by participating in the Council s Evaluation Process, consisting of the presentations to CSIET, the Accreditation Committee and the Due Process Committee that in fact due process has been accorded to the applicant. l. If the applicant is found to be in compliance with the Council s standards, it is accepted for listing. This entitles the applicant to publicize the fact that its programs are conducted in accordance with the published standards. The applicant that has been accepted for listing shall pay the CSIET voting membership fee required and is included in the Council s annual publication, the Advisory List of International Educational Travel and Exchange Programs. Acceptance for listing by the Council is valid only for the one-year period following public announcement of the Advisory List, usually May 1 st of each year. The Council, at the discretion of the Board, may reevaluate an organization s listing status during a listing period should the organization cease operation, merge with or become acquired by another organization, be issued sanctions by the US Department of State (including but not limited to probation, suspension, forms reduction), or come into notoriety or disrepute. m. The applicant acknowledges receipt of and agrees that the following documents shall constitute a part of and shall be deemed to be incorporated into the terms and conditions of this agreement: a. Application Form, Application Instructions, and the most recent Financial Statement/Audit; b. Countries/Areas Served and States Served by Applicant; c. Compliance Audit(s) for the program cycle conducted by an independent certified public accountant (F- 1, Outbound, Short-term). d. Any letters of reprimand, probation or intent to issue sanctions n. Any disputes that may arise between the applicant and the Council will be governed exclusively by Virginia law, and the exclusive forum for the resolution of such disputes will be the Circuit Court of Alexandria, Virginia, which court both parties agree will have exclusive personal and subject matter jurisdiction. If any such civil suit should be initiated by an applicant and the Council is the substantially prevailing party in such civil suit, then the applicant will pay all attorney s fees, costs, and expenses in the defense of such suit. The Council will be considered to be the substantially prevailing party in any litigation that is concluded by means of a non-suit or voluntary dismissal by the applicant. o. If an organization does file suit against the Council for anything relating to the evaluation process and if that suit is still pending during subsequent evaluation cycle(s), then the applicant agrees that the Council will not be required to accept an application for listing for such evaluation cycle(s). p. In the event that a lawsuit is filed by the applicant relating to the evaluation, then the applicant agrees that its right to confidentiality as to material submitted is waived to the extent that any material is necessary in the defense of that litigation by the Council. q. Upon actual receipt of the completed application and application fee by the Council, the terms and conditions of this application along with the documents herein, shall constitute the entire agreement between the applicant and the Council. 3

The applicant further agrees that whether it is accepted for listing or not, it will not utilize or allow any foreign affiliate to utilize the name CSIET, the CSIET logo, or its membership in or association with CSIET for promotional or advertising purposes, unless expressly authorized in writing by CSIET. Application Fees and Structure: The non-refundable application fee for a single Listing category (including Rotary Multi-Districts) is $ Discounts are offered for those programs who wish to apply for multiple Listings: Organizations applying for two Listing categories: $785 Organizations applying for three Listing categories: $1050 Organizations applying for four Listing categories: $1225 The non-refundable application fee for a Single District Rotary Program is $ Discounts are offered for those programs who wish to apply for multiple Listings: Single Rotary District applying for two Listing categories: $270 Single Rotary District applying for three Listing categories: $360 Single Rotary District applying for four Listing categories: $420 The non-refundable application fee for a *Single School/District Program is $ Discounts are offered for those programs who wish to apply for multiple Listings: Single School/District applying for two Listing categories: $270 Single School/District applying for three Listing categories: $360 Single School/District applying for four Listing categories: $420 *The school/district applying for listing must hold the I-20 certification, meaning they are certified by the Department of Homeland Security to conduct F-1 programming.
