The surprise inspections are carrie out to asss the aequacy pollution control systems aopte by the inustri an check the compliance status pollution control stanars. During the last one year (2014-1), the CPCB has issue irections to 10 efaulting inustri uner tion Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 an one to State Pollution Control Boar (SPCB) uner tion Air (Prevention an Control Pollution) Act, 1981 / Water (Prevention an Control Pollution) Act, 1974 in rpect the efaulting inustri.
