The Cardinal placed fourth in women s swimming & diving, eighth in men s indoor track & field, 11 th in wrestling and 15 th in women s indoor track & field. Penn State has moved into second place after capturing the national championship in wrestling and finishing 11 th in men s indoor track & field, 35 th in women s swimming & diving and 45 th in women s indoor track & field. The Nittany Lions have points. Third place Florida State added 144 points to its fall total through two top 10 finishes in winter championships and now have total points. The Seminoles placed fifth in men s indoor track & field and ninth in women s indoor track & field. Trailing the Seminoles by just 2.50 points is Ohio State. The Buckeyes have 503 points following finishes of 17 th in women s swimming & diving, 29 th in wrestling and 40 th in women s indoor track & field. Wisconsin has moved into the top five after scoring a winter-high points. The Badgers won the women s hockey national championship and turned in additional results of 10 th in wrestling, 11 th in women s swimming & diving, 36 th in women s indoor track & field and 50 th in men s indoor track & field for a total of points. The Big Ten is leading the way with five of its institutions currently in the top 10. Following Penn State (second), Ohio State (fourth) and Wisconsin (fifth), is Minnesota (ninth) and Indiana (10 th ). Seven winter NCAA championships have been completed with the following institutions capturing titles: women s ice hockey - Wisconsin; rifle Kentucky; skiing Colorado; women s swimming & diving California; women s indoor track & field Oregon; men s indoor track & field Florida; wrestling Penn State. The Learfield Sports Directors Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in up to 20 sports women s and 10 men s. The next Division I winter standings will be released Thursday, April 7, Please note, standings published midseason are unofficial.
