4 T H E P L A C E BAGAN Since 1999, visitors have been privileged to enjoy this unique spectacle from the enchanting platform of a hot air balloon basket. Balloons Over Bagan takes you in complete comfort high above the region for 45 minutes at sunrise to see the majesty of the ancient temples that dot the landscape in all their splendour and safety. All equipment is manufactured in the UK and all pilots and technicians are UK licensed pilots and public transport inspectors. Taking off each morning just before sunrise, we offer a choice of Premium or Classic service flights. You just have to make your choice

5 T H E P L A C E INLE LAKE & PINDAYA Inle lake is one of the top tourist destinations in Myanmar, it is famous for its floating gardens and stilt houses. The local Intha people have a unique way of life, their entire communities are based on the lake. Balloons over Inle offers daily early morning flights over the lake, in view of the Shan Yoma mountains and pagodas. Our season starts on 15th of November and runs until 15th of March, our balloons carry 6 up to 8 passengers. Flying over Inle lake in a balloon for around an hour really is a unique way of experiencing one of Myanmar s most scenic and cultural attractions.

6 T H E P R O D U C T BALLOONS OVER BAGAN Enjoy a spectacular hot air balloon ride over the temples of Bagan CLASSIC BALLOON FLIGHT Your adventure starts with a short journey in one of our romantic converted vintage buses to one of our dedicated launch sites. The growing light reveals our teams busy at work preparing your balloon against a backdrop of ancient temples shrouded in mist. There is time for tea, coffee and refreshments before the all important safety briefing. With the balloons now standing upright, it is time to climb on board and our helpful crew are on hand to assist you into the basket. The balloon is guided by gentle winds not exceeding 15 mph, allowing passengers a serene and peaceful bird's-eye view of ancient temples drifting by. Using his skill and years of flight experience in Bagan the pilot is able to guide the balloon to a gentle landing where our friendly and experienced crew will be waiting for you with fruits, fresh pastries and a glass or two of sparkling wine to complete the post flight celebration. 11 T H E P R O D U C T BALLOON SAFARIS INLE LAKE Shan State s famed Inle Lake is home to the Intha people, who live on and around the lake. To fly over the lake in a balloon, has to be one of the most beautiful ways to see this wonder. Our skilled pilots carefully use their knowledge of the winds to steer the balloon over the floating villages and water gardens. You will see the morning fishermen looking for the first catch of the day, and boats laden full of produce on their way to the market by the immense labyrinth of canals. At higher altitude you will be amazed to see thousands of village houses seemingly floating on the lake. PINDAYA Reminiscent of the rolling hills of Tuscany, Pindaya is set against some of the highest Shan Mountains and is a delight to see from the air. We will fly along the mountain valley, passing tiny Shan hamlets and hill top pagodas occasionally swooping down to the delight of villagers who have never seen a hot air balloon before. We fly at a time when the fields are awash with colour, with swathes of green and yellow against brilliant blue skies. SCHEDULE Day 1 Early morning Balloon flight over Inle Lake. Private breakfast on the lake or in village side location depending on the landing. Half day Cooking Experience or Sight seeing to Indein: late morning and lunch time visiting a local market and buying cooking ingredients from there. Then visit to an Inthar house and experience Intha traditional cooking and sharing food for lunch with the house owner family. Duration around 2-3 Hrs depending on the guest. Afternoon transfer to Pindaya: short walk or cycle to Ta Mae Village in the hills outside Pindaya in time for sunset and evening bonfire dinner under the Banyan Trees. Accommodation at Ta Mae Village: overnight in the village house with luxury bedding provided. Day 2 Early morning Balloon flight over Pindaya. Post flight cooked private breakfast in the fields surrounding Pindaya. Pindaya Caves and guided tour of Pindaya. Picnic lunch in the pines en route to Heho: Chef's special menu including house drinks, coffee and tea. Car transfer Heho (afternoon flight): adventure ends with onward flight to next destination.

13 T H E P E O P L E CSR - OUR MISSION Balloons over Bagan continues to play an important role in contributing to community projects throughout the region and to other causes in more remote areas of Myanmar. Their projects focus on three main areas: education through refurbishment of school and facilities, improvement of community health care and the conservation of natural heritage. As an active player in sustainable tourism they participate in the Keep Bagan plastic free project through a non-governmental organisation (NGO), striving to make the archaeological zone a plastic free area. They also continue to donate to new school buildings in local villages to improve education and decrease poverty for the Bagan community as a whole.
