4 Web GIS GIS: A Geographic Information System is any system used to aid in the collection, maintenance, storage, analysis, output, and distribution of spatial data and information 1. Web Mapping: is the process of cartography, spatial visualization, and map production delivered through the web. Web GIS: includes web mapping, but also encompasses the entirety of a GIS.

5 Network Status CorpsNet ACE-IT The Geospatial Data Analysis Facility currently has multiple web GIS applications being deployed through our Server on the ERDC Intranet, and also through partner servers. DREN RDE Upon network separation, GDAF has the capability to serve Web GISs on both CorpsNet and the RDE Network.
