Most Wanted Incident Locations Crime Statistics Neighborhood Map 6 Our Neighborhood s Beaufont Cedarhurst Chippenham Forest Forest Hill Forest Hill Terrace Forest View Gravel Hill Hioaks Jahnke Midlothian Northrop Oxford Westlake Hills Westover Westover Hills Westover Hills West Westover South & Woods Woodland Heights Greetings, During the month of June 2010, overall crime was down 22% in Sector 312. We reduced Motor Vehicle Thefts from 12 to 4 and there were no reported Burglaries of commercial properties, which is good news! We did however experience an increase in Robbery-Individual, street robberies and this upward trend impacted the entire city. There were eight of these types of robberies in the following neighborhoods, Midlothian = 3, Woodland Heights = 3, Westover =1 and one at Huguenot H.S. Arrests have been made in three of these incidents and we expect more to follow. Sector 312 officers/detectives are aggressively working to combat and reduce these incidences and ensure the communities you live and work in are safe. Please be aware that criminals engaged in robberies, generally look for inattentive victims during the evening hours, those who can be easily exploited. A weapon may be produced, valuables are demanded and then the suspects quickly flee the area (a frighteningly quick event). 88% of the (8) Robberies in June occurred between 8PM and 4AM. It is imperative that you assist your neighbors and the police by practicing the following; ensure you illuminate your block with exterior house lighting, observe who is in your neighborhood, if you believe someone to be suspicious, please quickly call the police with a detailed description and direction of travel. Keen observation, expedient reporting and accurate descriptions greatly enhance our opportunity to locate, disrupt and/or arrest those engaged in criminal activity. Emergency = 911 Non-Emergency = (Please place in your mobile phone.) Please know that I am always available to address your police related issues, hear your concerns or meet with you in person, please do not hesitate to contact me. The officers of Sector 312 and I are dedicated to reducing crime and positively impacting the environment you live and work in. Thank you for your continued support! Lieutenant John A. O Kleasky, Jr. John.O Kleasky@richmondgov.com
