C 65, (2002) +d (K. Hataaka et.al, PRC66(2002)044002) & +d (Y. Maeda et.al, PRC76(2002)04004) measuremets at RCNP Large discreacies betwee data & 3NF redictios at θcm = 0 ~ 80 deg. N+d scatterig at 250MeV shows differet results from that at below 35MeV

3 Calculatios with Δ excitatio 3NF The effects of the Δ- excitatio by ay mesos (calc. by Lisbo-Haover Gr.) Δ-excitatios are exlicitly icluded by the couled chael method π ρ, ρ ρ ad 3π rig tye 3NF(illiois model) are icluded effectively. No large sueriority to the 2π exchage tye 3NF. What we are missig? 2

4 Relativistic effects Fully relativistic calculatios by Witała et al. Relativistic effect is limited to the very backward agles. Large discreacy idicates that we eed other tyes of 3NF (?) No-Rel. Rel. NN otetial Loretz boosted otetial Arox. Arox. 2 More studies of 3NF at 250 MeV are imortat to uderstad this discreacy. 3

5 d breaku reactio Why are Nd breaku reactios good at this eergy? Cross sectio becomes relatively large. J. Kuroś et al., PRC66 (2002) σela σtot σbreaku E2 E Elastic scatterig Itegratio of all Breaku reactio Select a oit o the S-curve It is imortat to select good kiematical cofiguratio to search the detail of 3NF effect. 4

6 FSI cofiguratio d breaku aroud FSI cofiguratio (θ = θ = 40 deg, = 0 deg) Similar reactio to d θ d = 40 deg ( θ cm = 98.5 deg ) q ~ 3.5fm - The 3NF effect is large i the differetial cross sectios (40%). The data is well reroduced by the calculatios with 3NF. We chose the cofiguratio of θ = θ to avoid the Coulomb force actig betwee two ucleos i FSI. 5

Kuroś, Doctoral Dissertatio (2002) : NN oly : NN with TM-3NF : AV8+UrIX-3NF : CD-Bo +TM -3NF 2 = 2 Measuremets alog the S-curve icludig the FSI cofiguratio (θ = θ 2, 2 =0) is good robe to search the effects of reset 3NF models!! 6

12 S curve (E, E) are calculated from (E, E2) Data shows good agreemet with kiematical S-curve. Eergy distributio was obtaied by chagig the magetic fields ad the agles 3 times Normalizatio Lumiosity moitor Observables are reduced as the fuctio of E.

14 Results (2) Aalyzig ower Vector aalyzig ower d breaku at 250MeV ΔE = 5 MeV-bi (ΔS = 7 MeV-bi) Statistical error ΔAy < 0.02 Comariso betwee the data ad the theoretical calculatios Similar to the case of DCS w/o 3NF With 3NF Aroud FSI Good Aroud CS Mi. Better 3

15 Summary () 250 MeV d breaku measuremets were erformed at RCNP. θ = θ = 40 deg, = 0 deg cofiguratios were measured by detectig two rotos. S = MeV rage icludig FSI. Results Differetial cross sectios were obtaied with the statistical errors of %. Vector aalyzig owers were obtaied with ΔAy < Data aroud the FSI ad the cross sectio miimum were well reroduced by the theoretical redictios without ad with 3NF, resectively. 4

23 Coulomb iteractio It is difficult to iclude Coulomb force ito the Faddeev calculatios. Comariso betwee d+ Faddeev calculatios ad d+ data. How large is the Coulomb effect i the itermediate eergy regio? Calculatio icludig Coulomb force aroximately. Data is well reroduced by icludig the Coulomb force at the forward agular regio.
