2 CONCEPTS AT A LANCE 01 CKD SKD LIC COMPLETE KNOCK DOWN A CKD kit is a kit containing the parts needed to assemble a product. The parts are typically manufactured in one country and then exported to another country for final assembly. Variant names include knockdown kit, knocked-down kit, or simply knockdown, and the abbreviated KD or CKD. A common form of knockdown is a complete knock-down (CKD), which is a complete kit needed to assemble a vehicle. SEMI KNOCKED DOWN An incomplete kit is known as SKD for semi-knocked-down. The degree of "knockdown" depends on the desires and technical abilities of the receiving organization or on government import regulations. LICENCIN MODEL Key technologies of the vehicle are available for licensing models. Powertrain and other key assemblies can be used from local markets. Changes to the vehicle concept are possible. Development of models directly to the requirements. Modular vehicle concept for future additional series. Armoured vehicles, ambulances etc. also covered in the licensing model. 4 versions available (hard top, soft top, pickup and pure chassis). New models on demand possible.
